It’s back to the streets of Chicago for NBC. Today, it was revealed that the network has renewed Chicago PD for a fifth season.
From executive producer Dick Wolf, the cop drama follows the men and women of the Chicago Police Department’s District 21 who pursue the perpetrators of major street crimes in the “Windy City.” The cast includes Sophia Bush, Patrick John Flueger, LaRoyce Hawkins, Elias Koteas, Jon Seda, Jesse Lee Soffer, Marina Squerciati, and Amy Morton.
Four seasons in and Chicago PD is still doing well on NBC. Season four pulled in an average rating of 1.38 in the 18-49 demo and 6.56 million viewers, making it one of the network’s top three series for the 2016-2017 in terms of demo ratings. It looks like fans don’t want to leave Chicago anytime soon.
Sister series Chicago Fire and Chicago Med were also renewed today but there’s no word on Chicago Justice yet.

All the Chicago shows are riveting televsion.
Especially when they cross over.
The cross overs though tend to be minimal in cross-over-Ness (made up word).
One truly good 3 or 4 hour story of full interaction of all the shows integrated in 1 good case storyline would make all fans happy.
They tried with Chicago Justice premiere, but was still too separated.
Just not into Chicago Justice but I watch Chicago Fire And PD and Med all the time!

I love all 4 Chicago shows. I’ve been a fan of Law and Order, and still watch SVU religiously.
I’m amazed at the consistent quality and interesting story lines every week.

I think that was a bad choice I love all the Chicago shows .they need to keep pd and get rid of justice.

Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago PD – I live for these shows! My Mom, both sisters, brother in law and husband are all addicted to these three shows! We call each other during commercials and discuss intense, funny and cool scenes!
The Chicago PD and Fire shows are my favorite…the cast and crew are awesome..so polite and kind if you are at any of the tapings! Med is also as amazing and Justice seems like it has just as great cast! These 4 shows are my favorite shows
