Cold Shoulder is coming to CBS. The network has ordered the series, which is based on a novel by Lynda La Plante, per Deadline. The cop drama will have an all-female creative team, which includes Nina Tassler, Gail Berman, Denise Di Novi, and Pam Veasey. La Plante is also involved.

The book tells the story of a police officer who “is unable to prevent the death of her partner in the line of duty, she seeks help from a fellow detective as she attempts to pick up the pieces of her broken life at home and on the force.”

A cast has not been named for this CBS series. As for the novel, it was the first in a trilogy, and it was published in 1994. That means the series has plenty of content to work with in the long run.
