Last year, USA Network aired the Rush TV series — a dark drama that revolved around a troubled physician. It was cancelled due to low ratings. This year, the cable channel is airing another troubled doctor drama. Will it perform any better? Will it be survive to see a second season? Stay tuned.
Complications follows a disillusioned suburban doctor (Jason O’Mara) who’s still dealing with the emotional effects of his young daughter’s death from cancer. He unexpectedly becomes a vigilante hero when he intervenes in a drive-by shooting, saving a 12-year-old boy’s life. The rest of the cast includes Jessica Szohr, Lauren Stamile, Chris Chalk, Beth Riesgraf, and RonReaco Lee.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

I believe this show definitely deserves a second season! It is a great story line both actors that played John n Gretchen were awesome as well as the other characters. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I can’t wait to see where it goes next.full of action n suspense it well worthy of 5 stars in my book and I don’t actually like a lot of TV series! I hope the network will surprise me another season.

There is no comparison to Rush. This series is more in line with Burn Notice. ……….which was the best seiries ever.
I like this show. It flows well, and the writing and acting very good. I am not sure where they can go with season 2. Now the cancer clinics will blackmail the good dr? Listen, it worked for 24. I would watch season 2.

Love the cast of Complications. The storyline is gritty and I find myself exhausted at the end of each episode. Each and every character has made a mess of their lives and every week they try to find a way to solve a problem…only making it worse and digging themselves deeper and deeper into trouble. Renewed? Quote your sources. Both lead actors said it will take the network at lease two weeks to decide whether to cancel the show. Rush wasn’t owned by USA Network like Complications but it had more viewers, & higher demo and was canceled.
Maybe they read what I read and are jumping the gun a bit. I saw that following the Season 1 finale on August 13th, Executive Producer Matt Nix said that he admits “Complications” Season 2 is up in the air, but hints at the direction of the show moving forward.
It’s interesting that Complications is being compared to Rush. If you substituted Rush’s charactor for John, he would have fit right in. I could see him in this role. I wasn’t happy that Rush was cancelled. It would be a real shame if Complications is over, as well. Too many quality programs aren’t given a chance, while stupid “reality” shows go on and on and on ad nauseam. Come on producers, this needs a second season.
