Last Man Standing has managed to survive on ABC’s Friday night schedule while sitcoms like Malibu Country and The Neighbors have been cancelled. How will Cristela do in the ratings? Will it be cancelled as well or will it be renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On Cristela, a young Mexican-American woman (Cristela Alonzo) works to become an attorney while juggling her responsibilities to her traditional family. The rest of the cast includes Maria Canals-Barrera, Carlos Ponce, Terri Hoyos, Gabriel Iglesias, Sam McMurray, Justine Lupe, and Andrew Leeds.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: ABC has cancelled Cristella after one season and 22 episodes. Details here.
Final season averages: 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.23 million total viewers.

Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Cristela TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
JTV,Cristelda and Rosie Perez(the View)) but still we are not watching. The numbers are down.Maybe they should ask Shonda Rhimes for advice.Latinos are not only watching HTGAWM but they are also happy with Mexican actress Karla Souza(Laurel Castillo in the show).Karla Souza looks like a young Jennifer Connelly. She does not fit the stereotype and is a law student.
There is no laugh track on this show. It is a live audience laughing. Watching the show taped live, the actors had to wait for the audience to calm down. And since it is a multi-cam production, all acting is done live, very little if any editing. It is hard to do this kind of show but once they get in sync it becomes special.
Thanks for the info…..still not a fan of it though.
to me it’s like when they add all of the dramatic music to a show to tell you that “this is a dramatic screen, now watch closely”.
Is a bad show.Just cancel the show.
I totally agree I also like Malibu County with Reba these big wigs that are running things don’t give things a chance anymore they’ll cancel a show in the middle what’s wrong with these people I love this show I love her she hilarious funny she reminded me of George Lopez Whoopi Lucy Gilda Jane Tina Fey all the great they should have never cancel Lopez she’s funnyyyyy if anyone being races it’s Tim Allen show I don’t like how he talks about the president I hope that just the show no one isn’t saying anything about that tho spare… Read more »
laugh track………… that should say at all!
did I happen to mention that I don’t watch anything with a laugh track.
I’d also like to mention that stereotyping has been going on since the beginning of mankind. You may not like it, you may argue about it, but it’s a fact of life, & I don’t see it going away anytime soon. and I don’t see any reason why it should, everyone has a right to their opinion. I hate political correctness so much now, that I actually go out of my way to make sure that I am.
william here again, should have said that I go out of my way to be politically IN correct. just talking about it makes me so mad I can’t finish a sentence.
Stupid show and is going to be cancelado.
Didn’t find any of this year’s comedies very funny. This one had very stiff acting. Very disappointed in all of this season’s new comedies.
Didn’t find any of this seasons comedies to be funny at all. Some are cute, but this was not one of them. Bad jokes, bad acting, very forced. Very disappointed.
A few chuckles per episode is what I get.
Many of them are when Fluffy is on screen. Not a fan of the mom or the sister or the sisters hubby.
Mom is in the background always doing menial work it seems, and then pops in, says a line that is supposed to generate a laugh, and then exits stage right.
Kids here one minute and gone the next, the OBVIOUS work place situations… And people. Waiting for the episode where an Asian is introduced. 🙂
The best part of this show is Alberto and Felix!!!
I prefer to watch Spanish T.V. instead of this stupid stereotypes.
Blackish is filled with negative black stereotypes, McCarthy’s is filled with gay stereotypes and this show is filled with negative Hispanic stereotypes. And I wouldn’t be surprised if fresh off the boat wasn’t cut from the same cloth when it premieres. i.e. filled with Asian stereotyppes
aleishman: oh puhlease! It is a stereotype, and this is a comedy, thus the joke.
so when don rickles said it 50 years ago. it was wrong, but when a Latina has it as part of her comedy routine today, it’s funny?
so as i white guy if I talked like that, you would be ok with it? or said things like all Hispanics are strawberry pickers or maids and blacks play basketball or rap when they ain’t eatin’ fried chicken and watermelon? cause heh, it’s just a stereotype, no big deal, right?
Yes Nemo, it is OK. As you evidently are unaware, groups who have experienced marginalization and discrimination tend to ‘reclaim’ those pesky slurs and even make comedy about painful stereotypes.
Actually no it is not ok for any group to demean another, even if it is a member of the same group. When will people learn that?
that’s crazy. so claiming “steppin ‘n’ fetchin’ and acting like it is supposed to be a good thing?
embracing and feeding a NEGATIVE stereotype is supposed to be POSITIVE? so up is down and down is up?
Should I tell my son he should embrace the Irish beer guzzling drunk stereotype cause that’s supposed to make him a better more upstanding individual cause he is keepin it real by owning the stereotype?.
No, sorry. I think I would rather teach him the opposite.
Both of you guys are way too worked up over it. Stereotypes are there for a reason. They’re generally true.
These shows make fun of that and that’s funny too if it’s done right. I get a kick out of Blackish and Cristella, but the other comment about wooden acting on Cristella is right. It’s just too forced. Fluffy (fat mexican co-worker that is always on Cristella for a date) is the one standout. He should have his own show instead. That guy is hilarious.
This is one of the most anti-white racist shows I’ve seen in a while. Every white person on that show was a hard core racist. As much as Hollywood would like to think it’s true, not all white people think that Hispanics are janitors.
I really enjoyed Cristela. She’s absolutely adorable and incredibly funny! I liked the entire cast and thought the whole show just felt “natural”. It didn’t feel like a scripted comedy that was striving to be funny like some shows do. I look forward to seeing the next episode!
I thought Cristela was very funny, I haven’t laughed out loud like this for a sitcom in a long time.
