As you may recall, NBC aired the first season of Crossing Lines a couple summers ago. It didn’t perform well enough in the ratings and the network opted not to pick up the second season. Crossing Lines has been a success in the international market however and Netflix recently started streaming season two for US audiences.
Deadline now reports that a third season of 12 episodes has been ordered with Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) and Goran Visnjic (ER) joining the cast. They’ll join Donald Sutherland as leads, replacing William Fichtner.
The X-Files’ Frank Spotnitz is joining the show as an executive producer alongside Tandem’s Rola Bauer. Crossing Lines creator and executive producer Ed Bernero departed after Season two to be close to his family in California.
The series shoots in Europe and filming will be getting underway next week in Prague. It’s not known when season three will be available here in the States, via Netflix or some other outlet.
What do you think? Do you like the Crossing Lines TV show? Have you seen the second season? Would you pay to watch the third season?
This is one fantastic show. Been glued to it since it was recommended on Netflix based on other programs I viewed. Still trying to wrap my head around the new cast…doesn’t feel the same but will plug along the rest of the series 3 episodes and see if anything changes my mind. would love to have the original cast back
Love this series, liked the first season’s cast better than the second, but Donald Sutherland is fantastic
I love this show. Just up to season 1 episode 7. Why does Fichner leave the show?
After watching seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix, I went on to 3 with the first episode being confusing. The change was too sudden and I don’t like the new cast… I was invested in Tommy, Eva, Hickman and Louis. I couldn’t finish episode 1 of Season 3 🙁
why did you change the cast. I know that Fitchner exited,, but why did all the others change. This was too dramatic. I really enjoyed watching and I am sooo disapointed.
why a dramatic cast change for series 3 ?
i thoroughly enjoyed the first 2 series
dont think the cast was no where as good in series 3 as 1 and 2
dissapointed fan
what happened is my question to most of cast from series 1 and 2 ?
Love this show and would like it to continue. Cast,, locations, quality really good.
I did like the first 2 s. bring back the old team. I am ready to pay for it.
I really liked the first 2 seasons,,,just started watching the 3rd season,,,don’t like the changes,,I won’t be watching the rest of the new season,,,sorry
Love the first two season. Hated the third. They got rid of all the main characters. Season 3 was so disappointing. Do not like any of the new characters. If a season 4 is coming out, I will not be watching it.
I was really invested in the original cast, loved them all. I am disappointed in Season 3, It does not have as much heart as the other 2. I miss Tommy, Louis and Hickman
Season 1&2 were refreshing and held my interest like a good book.
I’m writing this while season 3 is playing.
Bring back the original cast & exec staff.
The best series on TV. Great casting, direction, writing, acting. Please bring this series back for an extended run. Yes, I would pay to watch.
I love the show. The story lines have me glued to the set. I love all the new actors. I love the fact that each story ends and it doesn’t leave you hanging for another episode. I am almost finished watching season 3 and hoping to see it return.
I agree 100% with the comment above I love the fact that the story ends in each particular segment and the story lines are very interesting. I did not realized how bored I had gotten with ongoing stories each week until I started back to watching this show. I LOVED this show from the very beginning and was highly disappointed when it was not renewed. I tried unsuccessfully to locate it on Amazon. Finally I got a netflix account and I have been vegging out watching complete series. I truly hope there is a renewal for season 4. Yes! I… Read more »
please bring it back….
This is not the American people. This about writers, directors, and big advertisers. This is coruption at its best. This is how they indoctrinate their audience. All of our values and belief system have/are being changed. A good show without visual sex, blood and fowl language just don’t stand a chance. A lot of good shows are dropped because of the agenda and big money. Look around at our nation and how we as a people have changed. Look at the games we let our children play. Watch how we now riot, vandalize and kill. It’s all tied together in… Read more »
Totally agree with you 1,000%………….our entire life is being controled by what the media and entertainment industry wants us to believe, I am just glad I have a mind of my own and use it……….most TV shows today is crap and do not watch.
