Cruel Intentions has another cast member. Variety reports Peter Gallagher has been cast in the NBC spin-off series.

The show is based on the 1999 film starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe as scheming step-siblings.

The series will pick up 15 years after the events of the film, following the son of Phillippe’s character. We previously reported Gellar will reprise her role as Kathryn in the spin-off.

Meanwhile, Gallagher will play Edward Valmont, father of Sebastian (Phillippe) and a “ruthless billionaire hotel magnate with fingers in many far-reaching financial pies — some legal, some not so much.”

Newcomer Taylor John Smith, Kate Levering, and Nathalie Kelley will also star in the pilot.
