Is CSI: Cyber ending? In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the CBS’ series executive producer discussed the future of the series.
CSI: Cyber is currently in the middle of its second season.
Questions arose about the future of CSI: Cyber when CBS released their Spring 2016 schedule last week. In the schedule, the crime procedural was moved from its regular timeslot to Wednesdays. However, despite the time change, exec producer Anthony Zuiker said they have no intention of ending the series:
We’re going to go ahead and do 22 [episodes] as ordered, and then you sit tight in May and see how the schedule shuffles around and you hope to continue. We have the biggest stars in television in terms of Ted Danson, Patricia Arquette and James Van Der Beek; it’s an amazing franchise and a very solid show. Because the future of crime is cyber, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t continue.”
Zuiker also mentioned that if another good idea for a CSI spin-off arose, he’d be interested. “For right,” he said,” our focus is on CSI: Cyber.”
What do you think? Do you watch CSI: Cyber? Do you think it will last long?
Please keep CSI Cyber. Love the series and loved the whole franchise.
I love it!! Please keep it on and do not cancel it. Thank you!!
My sister and I love CSI: Cyber! Everything’s technology now. Also, being on Sunday nights is never good. I agree with Denise; it needs more time Monday – Thursday!
I love CSI Cyber. Give it a chance. It seems that shows are cancelled way too soon anymore.
Cyber can’t survive or deserves to be kept if they can’t fined a team of better writers. Bad writing. Ho-hum castings. Insipid characters. CBS should cancel it. The sooner, the better.
I love csi cyber it’s a smart show and it should continue. In today’s world of everything being Internet controlled, etc, its the perfect series. The characters are perfect, so I don’t see what cbs network problem is with
this series. Though I watch this series on Sunday @10pm and CBS is now moving it from that day and time they need to find another day and time.
The problem is not the series it’s the network. And if CBS Network doesn’t want this series perhaps Netflix can have it, they seem to appreciate a smart series.
The best thing about CSI cyber are Patricia Arquette’s Knockers . At least in Medium you would get the occasional bedroom scene with a nightie . Her relationships seem forced as they compensate with these overly excited characters . You know i can go on and on . But seriously, whats with the scene where they gave the steve wozniak wannabe a gun? …Really?
The biggest problem with Sunday shows is when the NFL runs over which causes the shows to air late. It’s why shows really don’t do well on a Sunday with the network airing the NFL. Cyber has to be moved to ensure it’s success.
The time slot also killed Crime Scene Investigation which I also liked. If you put NCIS in the same time slot as Cyber, it probably wouldn’t do well either!
I, like many of the others, want the show to continue.
wtf why i am sick of this happening to every show i get into they get cancled wtf itd getting to be a regular thing now its like i get in to a show and the next thing i hear its been axed i am very wary of watching any new shows now in case they get axed they ax these great shows and leave crap on wth are we paying tv license for
I would definitely like to see CSI:Cyber continue but the network needs to air the episodes when they are scheduled. A show will not get good ratings if it cannot be found!!
I certainly hope that they do not cancel CSI viber it’s a very interesting show with interesting characters and it just lets us see the danger we are in at the moment with fiber security being very important that’s how all the Isis and the terrorist past along there informationQWzA
I tend to notice these cancellations appear to follow the big name actors as though they get bored and want something else to do. I just can’t think of any better reasons to cancel great shows. It could be the writers have dried up the potential for the show to keep going. Maybe it is too expensive to produce? The original CSI had pretty much gone far enough without seeing the longest cast members lose their hair or need wheelchairs to get to crime scenes.
Arquette was ok on Medium, but here her lack of acting chops shows. Her delivery is monotonic and the best scenes are the ones without her. The show’s writing itself? Horrible. They don’t even have a concept of time and space. In this week’s episode, there was a plane that disappeared. In a three-hour period, the team travelled from DC to North Carolina, had a press conference, figured out what was going on, found the plane, and successfully resolved everything. They sent a text message to a random passenger, giving him the task of disarming a terrorist. LOL…All ridiculous. The… Read more »
If you can’t appreciate entertainment without comparing it to war and peace then please, go right ahead and watch something else.
PLEASE DON’T CANCEL THE ONLY CSI LEFT. I’VE BEEN WITH THEM FROM THE BEGINNING. AFTER PETERSON LEFT IT TOOK A WHILE BUT YOU GOT TED DANSON IN AND WAS A GOOD SHOW AGAIN BUT THEN YOU CANCEL IT AND PUT HIM IN CSI CYBER WHICH HE IS A GOOD ADDITION TO IT…QUIT CANCELLING SHOWS THAT WE LOVE!!! CSI FOLLOWER – ALL OF THE CSI’S!
