Get ready for a brand-new season of The Curse of Oak Island. History Channel announced the premiere date for season five earlier this week.
History revealed more about the return of the series in a press release. Check that out below.
“Brothers Rick and Marty Lagina are taking their historic quest to solve the 222-year old Oak Island mystery to epic new depths when HISTORY’s #1 series The Curse of Oak Island returns for season five premiering on Tuesday, November 7 at 9 PM ET/PT. Across all platforms, the last season of “The Curse of Oak Island” averaged 5.4 million viewers per episode and is the network’s #1 series in key demographics. “The Curse of Oak Island” is a top five nonfiction series this year on cable and averaged 4.4 million total viewers last season in Live+7 delivery. Additionally, the series reached 35 million total viewers in linear Live+7, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Armed with the knowledge gained and evidence gathered in their years on Oak Island, the Lagina’s and their partners, are doubling down with new technology and heavy machinery as they go full bore into what they believe is the famed Money Pit – a 160 foot deep hole first discovered by three teenage boys in the late 1700’s – which is believed to be hiding a cache of valuable items. This season, while specialized drilling rigs dig deeper than ever before, new artifacts, including a Pirate’s chest and a set of keys for three other chests, surface that deepen the mystery. What the Lagina’s will unearth this season may ultimately answer the question that hundreds of searchers – including President Franklin Delano Roosevelt – have been asking for over two centuries: what’s really hidden at the bottom of Oak Island?
The Curse of Oak Island is produced for HISTORY by Prometheus Entertainment. Kevin Burns, Joe Lessard and Kim Sheerin serve as executive producers for Prometheus. Matt Ginsburg and Jennifer Wagman are executive producers for HISTORY.
A+E Networks holds worldwide distribution rights for The Curse of Oak Island.”

I didn’t want to miss any of the episode’s at all because I liked it so much I loved the curse of oak island now that I now that they are doing more I will not miss the new episodes of the curse oak island
Love the show and can’t wait for the sow to start again.
Haven’t missed an episode since the very beginning. Having lived in Nova Scotia for many years, I was well aware of the many attempts that had been made to find the elusive treasure on Oak Island and read every article I could find on this subject. Was overjoyed when I learned of this new search and the tv series that chronicled the search. Was not disappointed and continue to hope that eventually some of my questions will be answered. Hoping for a successful season! Great show.
This is really one great show! Very authentic, realistic and very believable. I will definitely tune in
Question: This may sound stupid, but what about getting a very powerful pump with a long hose and suck up the muck at the bottom of C1? I realize that it sits just outside of a large water body, but perhaps it will fill in slowly? Or you can also suck up the small particles and perhaps make the small area clearer to see what is there?
Love the show, love the guys involved. Iam on the edge of my seat right with them. Except I have to wait. Lolol
I’m addicted to this show. PLEASE find something!!
Yay! So glad it is returning! We love this show and can’t wait each week to see what the Brothers Lagina might find. One of our very fave shows! The history, along with the treasure hunting, has been just as interesting as the actual hunt!
LOVE< LOVE< LOVE this program!!
At Last!
I have a vague recollection of reading the article many years ago and would like to read it again. I have really enjoyed watching the show and hate having to wait so long for each new season. I was happy to learn that I’m not the only one obsessed with it.
Can’t wait for Season 5. Ending the series at this point would feel like unfinished business. It’s your typical treasure hunt. We’ve all done it as kids. Who hasn’t dug a hole in their backyard hoping to find treasure. It’s the ultimate thrill ride.
I’m so excited for Season 5, can’t stand the suspense from season to season!
Just praying that it all pays off for all the dear souls that have gone before and for those still holding out hope for the real treasure!!!
This documentary has been very well done and keeps you on the edge of your seat like a well thought out movie
I also read the article back when I was a teenager. In the late 90’s I stayed at Mahone Bay and there was a Seminar about Oak Island, which I attended. I have been a huge fan ever since. I am 73 and hope to find some answers soon. I love the show. Thank the Laguna’s for making my Tuesday night TV so great.
My dad and I are excited for the 5th season to start. He has dementia however he ask constantly about when the new season would be on. We share the love for solving puzzles and watching the Lagina’s work towards solving this puzzle and the history they share is discussed in our home daily. Keep going guys you can do this. The true treasure is solving the puzzle.
I absolutely love this show. I can’t wait until season 5 starts. This show is so addicting we can’t wait for Tuesday nights. I love watching the brothers find interesting things and they are both handsome. Keep this show going until they solve the mystery. I know they can do it.
