It’s the end of the line for the Dallas TV show — for the second time. TNT has announced that they’ve cancelled the new Dallas TV show after three seasons.
A continuation of the successful CBS series from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, Dallas follows the machinations of two generations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
Year-to-year, season three of Dallas was down by 26% in viewership and down by 38% in the 18-49 demographic. It’s one of TNT’s lowest-rated scripted series and that certainly wasn’t a good sign for its chances of a fourth season.
In a statement, TNT said, “We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show’s creative forces, Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series.”
Cidre and the writers have been working on scripts and ideas for a fourth season of Dallas so hopefully she’ll share what would have happened at some point.

why is it that the industry always cancel the shows that are the most entertaining?! I hope whoever’s bright idea it was to cancel this great show reconsiders this before we lose out on anymore great actors from this show. As it was, the next generation started to really shine and now we don’t get to see them to their potential. 🙁
I was sad to learn today the show was canceled. I was looking forward to the return. I an happy Larry was able to see the show come back before he left us. The show Dallas was a big part of my life in 1978. Dallas will always a place in my heart. Thanks to everyone for bringing this show to live. Long live Dallas

I’m going to miss the show! We loved loved loved watching and could not wait for the weeks to go by so we could watch another episode! My husband and I wish it would not stop! Please Keep rolling we need season 4!
The actors and producers of Dallas have nothing to be ashamed of. They produced the best show on TV with lots of class. It’s TNT’s fault for being so short sighted. They should have never cancelled this great show. It would be grand if another network would pick up this show and continue the story lines. All Dallas fans would be so happy if they did that.
I miss Dallas and want it back. To cancel it was wrong. Loved all the characters and story lines especially Annie and her ex.
Please bring Dallas back.
I miss Dallas and wish there was someway to bring it back!…Today is June 20 2015, and there is not one TV show that can compare to Dallas!. I hope someday this great Show will return!

I really enjoyed this series of the New Dallas. I am very sad that you canceled it. With all the reality crap tv shows on it was exciting to watch a nightime soap drama. I hope you think about bringing it back or some other station picks it up.
I guess the programming of TV is geared for morons. I mean morons spend like there’s no tomorrow (duh, what’s a tomorrow?) TV programmers must like that to sell their ads. It’s sad that they have this perception of the tv audience. Dallas, a class show, will be missed by many great fans. They just don’t make’em like that anymore. I wish for Dallas to return so there’d be something good to watch again.

I think the series Dallas should be renewed for another season. We always looked forward to watching Dallas.
I grew up watching the series with my mom and we were both so excited for this new series… We are both in disbelief that it was cancelled! Please return it to an other channel.. At least give us I’ve more season for closure!
i also have been a fan of Dallas n have watched it sense I was a kid. I also went to the south fork ranch in Dallas a few years ago and have been a great fan of this show n when it came back on was so happy n devoted to watch it weekly. I can’t believe tnt cancelled this show . I watched all 3seasons n been waiting for the new one to show. I really think it should be put on another channel n be put back on. I’m a loyal fan of Dallas and want it back on. There is so much garbage on tv these days, and to take off a program that had so many followers,and had a great cast of stars. Unbelievable!
