It’s the end of the line for the Dallas TV show — for the second time. TNT has announced that they’ve cancelled the new Dallas TV show after three seasons.
A continuation of the successful CBS series from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, Dallas follows the machinations of two generations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
Year-to-year, season three of Dallas was down by 26% in viewership and down by 38% in the 18-49 demographic. It’s one of TNT’s lowest-rated scripted series and that certainly wasn’t a good sign for its chances of a fourth season.
In a statement, TNT said, “We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show’s creative forces, Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series.”
Cidre and the writers have been working on scripts and ideas for a fourth season of Dallas so hopefully she’ll share what would have happened at some point.

I hated that Dallas was cancelled in my opinion it was the best show on tv and I’m really hoping that another network picks it up with the right channel I think it would do very good
So sad to see the show cancelled. I was excited when I heard Dallas was coming back after many years. I hope that you find another network to pick it up. Maybe TNT was the wrong one.

So sorry the show was canceled…I love this show and in my opinion it was the best show on tv. Had the show been on abc or cbs it would have been number 1. Love u Larry and Linda gray, u are simply the best. I grew up watching dallas so it was good to see u back where u belong.

I love this show…it was the best show on tv….and the best part was that it was fresh and victoria p was not a part of it. Love Larry and Linda..I am so sad.
I actually thought they were doing a fine job of moving forward without Larry Hagman. I admit that I thought they could not pull it off, but they DID! The show was better than most of the TNT lineup, and better than a lot of other current series on TV, in general. Now, if they found a way to convince Victoria Principal to come back for a while, and had a way of working it into the story, soap opera style, so it made sense, THAT would have really upped the interest! TNT lost me they want to appeal to a younger demographic. They had better get some decent programing on first Dallas was the best show they had and they lost me!

Really sorry to hear that Dallas has been cancelled. Was an avid watcher of the original series and really loved the current show. The cast was exceptionally good, especially Josh Henderson and Jesse Metcalfe. Hopefully, TNT will come to their senses and give it a 4th season or some other network will realize its value and add it to its lineup.
