What’s This TV Show About?
A Syfy space opera, Dark Matter stars Marc Bendavid, Melissa O’Neil, Anthony Lemke, Alex Mallari Jr, Jodelle Ferland, Roger Cross, and Zoie Palmer. The science fiction drama series follows the crew of a derelict spaceship who awake with no memory of who they are or how they got on board. Still, they must work together to survive a threatening voyage charged with vengeance, betrayal, and plenty of secrets.
Season Three Ratings
The third season of Dark Matter averaged a 0.15 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 608,000 viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 13% and down by 10%, respectively. Find out how Dark Matter stacks up against other Syfy TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Season three premiered with mediocre numbers but the ratings for Dark Matter have remained pretty consistent. Syfy seems to believe in the program since they added an after show — After Dark — this season. Dark Matter also airs on the Space channel in Canada, so its fate largely depends on its success north of the border. I suspect that we will see a fourth season. I love Dark Matter! I definately want to see it come back for a 4th season!!!!
This is my favorite Scfy Show since Stargate! It’s got space travel, adventure, humor and employs real life theories; I first heard of White Hole Theory in season one for example (I could go on but don’t want to spoil anything). Great characters, plot line, and I love that Android!! -Best Spok-like character since Spok himself, a truely amazing actress. I would love to see this show continued.
I’ll note that I stream it through a service, I’m off the box as are many others in my age group (32). I don’t want that to negatively impact ratings.
Hopefully it will be renewed for a fourth season. I think that the Darkies need a final isation to this series. We have followed them through thick & thin and a full storyline should be given to the Darkies fans. On After Dark there are people from the UK, France, etc. so it has a worldwide audience. Counting the ratings, be they high or low in Canada/USA does NOT count. Please finish the great story created by Joseph, Paul & the great crew of the Raza, and of course the humAndroid : )

Love the show been watching it since it appeared in Syfy, If there going to end it, they should do a season finale. Don’t end up like Star gate universe with an disappointing ending.

Great show, one of the best sci fi’s currently on TV. The characters are evolving in a way that attracts lots of questions and ideas about where the show will go. The writing has always been sharp and does not appear to have waned, the show can only get better.
They need to give the show a chance to grow, this is like it was for StarTtrek and Star Gate the started slow and look where they went!
I want a 4th season as it’s a clever show with twists and turns and character development.
The overall live ratings will drop again, but I’d be a little surprised if it wasn’t renewed. It has better ratings than Wynonna Earp, and that was renewed.
Pls pls pls continue with season 4!!!!!!
