It was an underwhelming start for the new reality series. It tied with a repeat of The Middle on ABC for second place. If it dips in week two (as most new shows do), it’ll likely drop to third or fourth place. This premiere was less than half of what CBS saw from last summer’s Big Brother return.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Dogs in the City TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
please don’t cancel this show.. we’re losing Cesar Millan’s show so how will we cope now? Justin is enjoyable to watch, I see him as a younger version of Cesar.
PLEASE RENEW THIS SHOW. HOW THE MINDLESS AND NO SOCIAL REDEEMING VALUE “BIG BROTHER” CAN RECEIVE HIGHER RATINGS, I DON’T KNOW. “DOGS IN THE CITY” IS BOTH ENTERTAINING AND EDUCATIONAL.
Love Love Love this show.
Please keep it. I have a new shelter puppy and this
Show has taught me so much.
Thanks. Justin
I have 2 cats but NEVER missed this show. It’s all about the love for animals so don’t cancel it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the show–and learned so much—still working with my 1 year old min.schnauzer–still need help calming her when people come to the door or in the house–BE SURE TO RENEW THIS SHOW!!!It would be great to be able to send in questions that Justin answers–
I got a late start with the show and have only watched the episode with Biggie, and have one recorded. A couple of years ago I adopted a 9-year-old dog who weighed twice what she should have. Measured low-fat food and short walks brought her down to 25 pounds, just as Justin said they would. It’s a terrific show. Please, please, please renew!
Please, please don’t cancel Dogs in the City!! Me and my husband just starting watching the very last episode & have been catching up on Hulu. Justin is great & very personable & it’s great to see NYC showcased!! Please bring it back for a season 2!!
Love this show. Justin is so personable, and he knows his stuff. Very informative, great dogs, and of course, showcases NYC. Please renew this show. One of the very few that I watch in primetime….not the same old junk we keep seeing recycled with a different name, and different actors. And of course, he is a great spokesperson for advocating shelter dog adoptions. A Keeper, for sure.
I love “Dogs in the City” and really hope it returns this Fall. I adopted my sweet dog 3 years ago, and it is so great that Justin and this show can reach out to millions of viewers on the need for and benefits of dog adoption. This show is about unconditional love from our dogs, its entertaining, educational and a real public service.
Please bring “Dogs in the City” back!!
Definitely a great show. It’s not just for learning, it is realistic entertainment. Justin has got it right, he knows what he is doing and does a great job explaining it in simple terms we can understand and enjoy. I look forward watching it every week, despite all the other junk on tv that seems to make the ratings. KEEP IT , PLEASE !!!
Love Dogs in the City! What a wonderful show! Justin is great and the dogs are so cute!
Please renew! It great to have such a nice family show on Television!
Please, please, please keep Dogs in the City!!!!! It is a great show, that hardly anyone knew about (I’ve been telling everyone I know)! However, do not put it up against The Middle during the regular season! DITC is the best new show I have seen in years! I would even like to buy this if it comes out on DVD—-I love Justin’s approach to dog training!
Thought it was a great show. Justin you should renew!
It’s Wednesday nite, 7/18/12, so where’s “Dogs in the City”?
Please don’t cancel ! It’s very entertaining. I love some of those faces
that Justin makes with the really wild and crazy dog antics. Promotes
shelter adoptions too.
Love the show. Must renew
