It was an underwhelming start for the new reality series. It tied with a repeat of The Middle on ABC for second place. If it dips in week two (as most new shows do), it’ll likely drop to third or fourth place. This premiere was less than half of what CBS saw from last summer’s Big Brother return.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Dogs in the City TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
This show needs to return for more seasons! My family (the 4 of us are adults) loves this program and can’t wait til Wednesday night, it is a great show that leaves you with a wonderful feeling. We have learned how to better communicate with our 3 rescues and our household is much calmer since Justin came into our lives! I have told several people about this program and hope that it returns to us!
What a great show- intelligent, warm, and fun to watch – by far the best reality series on TV. Please renew this show!
Please, please do not cancel. We wait anxiously every week to watch the show. We are great dog lovers and feel this is a very heart warming and imformaitonal show. Justin Silver makes the show such a hit with all his knowlege and concerns. The last episode was so great with the shelter. Please do not cancel another show with so much heart and soul.
Please keep the “Dogs In the City ” show on! It is one of the few quality shows still left on TV. I do not like the stupid mindless reality shows like Big Brother or the Housewives of…… etc. So many of the shows left are really boring or not worthy of being on TV.
It ABSOLUTLEY needs to return. It is a wonderful way for those of us that are training dogs (in my case a puppy)…to become good canine citizens. I live in an urban setting in Long Beach CA..where there are many distractions from people food being thrown on the ground(and all other types of things)…..ferral cats lurking and lunging…good guys..BAD guys… inconsiderate people who think their doggie poop can be left on someones yard..in the planters and sidewalks…… .there is the battle of the bark; lots of dogs on leashes who aren’t sure about the new kid on the block…no rest… Read more »
My husband and I have no dogs, but are thinking of getting one after watching this show. This is the absolute best reality tv show we’ve seen and would be so disappointed if it were cancelled. We watch every episode faithfully!!!
Watched the “finale” last night–Excellent!! Please do NOT cancel this show. All the comments here are positive because this is a completely entertaining, helpful, positive show! Justin Silver could be working and filmed in any place in the US because there are dogs AND owners everywhere who would love his help!
I love this show. Please renew. Wonderful family entertainment an you learn great things about your dogs and how to train them.
This is by far one of the best reality TV Show on air! Justin is AMAZING. Not only is he helping our fury friends, he’s also helping mankind especially those with emotional problems (which we’ve seen on the show). From the lady who was going through a divorce and trying to care for those 4 or 5 pittbulls all by herself and finally breaking down in tears. To the lady who owns the “working yorkie” (the Cindy Crawford of dogs), spends alot of time with the yorkie whom she relies on for love while the others non-show dogs are left… Read more »

Please keep the show!! I look forward to it every Wednesday. The only reality show that I watch. I was very disappointed when I look at the new TV guide and it’s time slot was replaced by Big Brother which I never ever watch. I join the millions of fans clamouring to have it renewed!!!
I love “Dogs in the City.” In fact, it’s the only reality TV show I watch. The viewer can see that Justin loves dogs and loves helping these dogs (and their owners) live happy lives. I hope “Dogs in the City” is renewed for a second season!!
