TV show description:
Justin Silver is a dog guru who operates out of New York. He’s a master at resolving issues between dogs and their owners — no matter whose behavior is at fault.
In Manhattan, Justin Silver is known as the “go-to-guy” for all things canine-related. He has a creative and instinctive ability to connect with his dog customers while solving dilemmas for their two-legged masters.
In each episode, he meets with clients who present a range of relationship problems, lifestyle changes or domestic issues — from a couple looking to move in together, but she’s terrified of his golden retriever, to a recently divorced couple whose dog is having a rough time adjusting to joint custody. Justin gets as imaginative as necessary to reach a satisfying resolution, often finding that the owners can be a special breed themselves.
Justin Silver has been taking care of dogs and their owners for more than a decade. A dog trainer, behaviorist and owner of a pet care company, Silver is also a comedian and founder of Funny for Fido, a nonprofit that raises money for homeless animals by producing a yearly stand-up comedy event. Silver firmly believes that every dog can be trained to be a wonderful companion by working on issues calmly and confidently with both his four- and two-legged clients.
Episode 6 — You Can Teach Old Dogs New Tricks
Justin partners with Edie Falco to help renovate a shelter that is close to her heart and, while there, he works with a dog who has been scaring off potential adopters. Justin also works with an aggressive dog that was once attacked and an anxious dog that loses her cool during playtime.
First aired: July 11, 2012.
I thought the show was great. I have tried to purchase video, but apparently not available. Glad to see it coming back on May 30 and will inform all my dog owning friends to watch.
Oh great another good show gets cancelled, why ??? I love this show, never missed it. Please bring it back, PLEASE !!!!!!
i know eh? i really want it back too, u notice they seem to keep the un-interesting shows faster then the interesting ones? they got to bring this one back, it was the best ever!
I am HAPPY to see it isn’t cancelled. I just loved this little show. I’m a dog person with the rest of the billions of people, and I love watching and learning.
I’ll keep it on my list to tape – and hurray for keeping it on. Good summe show don’t you think? And great being in NYC.

Great show At work that’s what we talk about. Have you heard anything?
Is it coming back WHEN WHEN
is it coming back? i am seeing people saying no it ain`t but then seeing some say yes………………….
Please keep this show on the air. Justin is a great teacher for people, on how to treat their pets. Justin is so much better than Cesar Milan.
I really miss this show. There are so many pet owners out there who don’t have a clue about their pets, please let Justin educate them!
Thank you,
Susan
Too many animal owners do not understand the behavior of their dog/s. PLEASE GIVE THIS SHOW A CHANCE. It is on for a reason. Owners receive a education from an expert who has no attitude. He makes the show fun too. Justin Silver’s DOGS IN THE CITY is just what T.V. NEEDS! A QUALITY PROGRAM that includes: RECEIVING AN EDUCATION WHILE YOU WATCH, PROVIDES IMPORTANT FACTS, ADVICE, AND SOLUTIONS FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE DOGS (THAT’S HOW MANY NOW? COME ON!!!!!)
CBS…… DO YOUR STATION A FAVOR. You know people LOVE THEIR PETS,so KEEP THIS SHOW GOING. IT’S IMPORTANT!!!!

The show is great! I especially like the episode where Justin and his friends help the shelter in New York. I have a request if Justin could do a show or add some info about the problems with puppy mills in Lancaster,Pa and other rural areas. I’m sure not everyone is aware on how bad the are. If people wouldn’t buy from them maybe they would go out of business. Thank you.
Please keep Dogs in the City on the air. I look forward to it every Wednesday night.
I can relate to Justin Silver so much better than I can Ceasar Milan. He’s not trying to over power the dogs, but just brings a simple logic to the training.
Most of the time, it really is the owners that need trained.
Please keep Dogs in the City on the air.
Thanking you in advance,
Darlene
yes , please continue with this show. it’s the best !!!!
