It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

Too bad they cancelled this show. With all the “reality” shows and police shows, it was finally refreshing to have some entertainment. Bad move on the networks part. People are sick and tired of all the reality shows that just keep popping up and we are all looking for something that will entertain us.
I really liked this show. I’m so tired of getting into a new show and then they take it off and leave you hanging. Shouldn’t we the viewers have a say in this????

this stinks! my whole family LOVED eastwick, i mean LOVED IT! and they cancel it! my sister and i cried when they canceled it! PLEASE BRING IT BACK!
Damn, can’t believe they canceled the one show I actually recorded to watch…..they never even gave it a chance.
It is a well-written show and the characters are likeable. It would have fared much better on a cable station. Maybe Syfi will pick it up.

I AM SO UPSET THAT EASTWICK IS GETTING CANCELED. i don’t usually keep up with television shows… but this one had me reeled in BAD. i couldn’t wait to get home from work and turn on my tv to watch this. now i’m just pissed
Why does ABC ALWAYS cancel the shows I LOVE????? I’m starting to take it personally! I pray to God they put it on another network. It wasn’t a show where you could see them getting to a place withno more story lines. It could go on forever with the powers the girls had. I loved their chemistry and the characters. This sucks………bad decision!!!!!
I am so freaking pissed!!! I was planning on new episodes airing soon. Damn! My Fiance’ and I would make popcorn and unwind to the whole show. Those executives are making the wrong decision. Ratings probably dropped cuz everyone was partying during the holidays!! There are other shows that suck.. they are still on air. Im gonna miss the show.
So far this show has had all the makings of becoming a hit program if only your advertisment department would give more previews of this wonderful SERIES.
i loved this show. The people that pulled it off the show are ***** ********. I would have bought the ******* show and watched it myself in my own house.
