It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I LOVE EASTWICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want eastwick back. Who cares if there wasnt alot of viewers, there was still viewers that liked the show and wanted to see more. The last episode i saw was in the middle of the season and then nothing and now im so confused. I may be 15, but what the mess is wrong with you ABC. Bring eastwick back please!!!!!!!
I wrote to ABC, stating that I want the show back. I also said i wanted pushing daisies, men in trees, Samantha Who, Ugly Betty, October Road, and Dirty Sexy Money back on the air. Dirty sexy money was alright, i mean it wasn’t as good as the others but it was much better then what ABC is showing now. This sooooo pisses me off, all my favorite shows are always cancelled. I loved this show, I looked forward to it every week.
I just don’t get it. I am so sick of ABC cancelling good shows that I am not watching any of the new ones coming out. I went and bought some books! Started watching Discovery Channel and Animal Planet. ABC is like politics these days…..they don’t listen to the people either!!!!!
I loved the Eastwick show and it was really getting good I hope they put it back on the air but at the very least ABC could finish the first season up i really miss Eastwick

Man! Why is it everything I like gets cancelled? I loved the 11th Hour, Sarah Conner Chronicles, then fell in love with Eastwick, now I’ve been sitting around waiting for season 2, to google it to find out it’s been cancelled! This is why I don’t start watching new shows ABC! Everything I like you take of the air, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

i know how u feel….i hate when they cancel why dont they at least give us a proper finale..that way we wont be going out of our minds wondering what on earth happens next…ABC sucks..
Wow…Ugly Betty and Happy Town… Eastwick was 100x better than either of those shows!!! I still miss Eastwick and I have been keeping a look out to see if any other networks pick up. the show But, unfortunately it isn’t looking good that this show will ever continue 🙁 Let’s hope ABC see’s the light and brings this show back!!!
So we finally get to see what Eastwick was replaced with — Happy Town– the unhappiest, misshapen, misbegotten venture I’ve ever had the misfortune to watch.
I loved that show, damn! Why was it cancelled! The acting and dialog was actually quality. I am so bummed out right now and I am not the type of person to get hooked on many tv shows. Boooo!! ABC sucks.
Of course ABC cancelled this show. It was a good one. All they have left is crap. I’ve even deleted ABC from my remote.
ABC is a simple network, they like to target the more simple minded people, like those who like Lost, and the simple way the story continues, Eastwick was a more progressive show ever changing, Lost, on the other hand you could go a season or 2 without watching it and still get right back into it as if you never stopped watching it, sad if you think about it, but thats why you have cable TV

i think that you should return the show i enjoyed watching it so much i miss it, it was a very empowering show for women and i think that with more ads about it and a couple more shows alot of people will relise what they are missing and i know one person won’t make a difference but i can try any way please return Eastwick it was the best witch show ever!!!!!!!
WTH? Eastwick was freakin awesome, and much better than the movie, even though i have actually never seen the movie. but my friends say that it was much better. I MEAN COME ON ABC, 4.4 million is still pretty good compared to some of the other shows you have put on. And you might get more people watching it if you put it on at better times, if i knew this show was on TV i would have watched it, but i didn’t know so.
