It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

So I stumbled upon this show a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. I knew there was only one season. What I didn’t know was that it would be left open ended. I would of been happier had they wrapped things up instead of leaving so many questions and future stories un answered. There is no point keep going on at abc to pick it back up because it is long gone now. Just sad that the show wasn’t wrapped up properly.

What the Hellllll!!! You need to have a season two! The show wasn’t even wrapped up properly, SOOOOOOO MANY unanswered questions! And this really is a super great show with an awesome cast! How can you guys just cancel it like that…..I’m so intoxicated with this show and I’m very sure I’m not the only one. Eastwick has a lot of fans out there that is still pining for it to come back! Eastwick was likely cancelled not because of ratings but because of Christians who do nothing but bash witchcraft. Every single witch themed show, or movie has been altered or removed for this reason. The exception was “Charmed” because the witches banished evil and there were angels in it. The other reason could be that those practising Wicca were not too happy with this “Witches in consort with the Devil” like the movie “Witches of Eastwick”. Teresa » Nope. It was ratings. Networks are businesses. If this show had gotten better numbers, you would have seen knock offs on the other networks the following season.
Gutted!! Sky+ this over xmas period and really got into it. Looked it up online to find out when i could expect to see the 2nd series & surprise surprise yet another american show cancelled with crap reasons! Gonna give up with american shows they all end up cancelled with very disappointed viewers. Thanks again for nothing.
I must say I am very disappointed that another great show, being shown in the UK has been cancelled, I don’t think they should air it if they are doing this as it’s unfair that we get into a great show with good actors/actresses to be let down, please make more episodes and series, as the shows in the UK are absolutely rubbish.
This is crazy, Eastwick is an amazing show, and they cant just leave it with season 1, what about the fans that are still watching? This is show is alot better than all the bull crap thats on tv now.
