Fans of Ugly Betty just got some (possibly) good news. ABC is moving the dramedy to Wednesday nights at 10pm. Unfortunately, that’s spells bad news for fans of cancelled Eastwick.
Eastwick has had a tough time of it and has never quite found a wide audience. The show and its cast — including Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, Jaime Ray Newman, Paul Gross, Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright — have become popular with a devout group of viewers but it’s just not big enough to keep the show on the air.
The show was effectively cancelled last month when ABC opted to not order any additional episodes beyond the initial 13 installments.
Eastwick executive producer, Maggie Friedman, said that this would mean that many show storylines would go unresolved. On the positive side though, it seemed like ABC was committed to airing all of the episodes.

Unfortunately, it now appears that ABC has decided to pull the show off the air before the run is completed. Ugly Betty will take over the Eastwick timeslot on January 6th, bumping the last two episodes of the supernatural series from the schedule.
For now, it seems that the network has no plans to air the final installments of Eastwick. If ABC history is any indication, fans may have to wait until the summer months to see them — ala Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone. If not, then they’ll be able to find them on DVD, if there is one.

Quite a ridiculous waste of my time showing a series that never has an end. This is not the first time and I think I will ahve to stop watching anything this TV compnay produces. At least respect your audiences by shooting a final episode/s that bring it to a satisfactory close BEFORE you cancell it!
come on!!! whats going on? i love this program all the crap on telly at the mo all repeats!!! its about time something like this came on air its fantastic abc must be mad!!!!!!!!!! and you got the georgeous paul gross (sex on legs!!!!) what more could a girl ask 4!? true talent. i feel so sorry for the actors they all done great.
I love the show, so does my entire family and now our Wednesday nights are void since the show is no longer aired. I am praying (for my sake, other fans sake, and the cast/producers sake) that the show is picked up by another network. That’ll show ABC!

I still can’t believe that every time I finally an unsyndicated show that is above tolerable, they cancel it. I have NO faith in tv programming that they can produce and continue decent shows. I quite believe I will never watch regular tv, I will stick to the advanced channels since they at least provide intellegent programming.
I liked how Eli stone and dirty sexy money were on during the summer even though they were cancelled already. From a business stand point it would be smart of ABC to not air the last two episodes and put them on the DVD box. That way we would have to rent or buy the series on DVD to see them. I say put them online. If they are on Hulu then they still will get the advertising dollars from the commercials.
This show absolutely SUCKS. It is SO boring. I DVR a lot of shows so I can watch them later, without commercials, thus saving time so I can watch more shows. I’ve got four episodes of this show on my DVR that I just CANNOT bring myself to watch. I’d rather have somebody drag their nails down a chalkboard than watch one more minute of this show. I cannot believe ABC is doing this . The last episode was exciting and good and now they are just going to leave us HANGING without any warning at all!!!!! This is an outrage and the next time my husband puts that t.v. on ABC it’ll be changed immediately . I will not watch that network again.
Both me and my husband are big huge fans of Eastwick – why does ABC do this all the time ? First they cancelled V , now Eastwick … I am boycutting ABC – they suck !
I am so pissed right now! You people need to get your heads out of the air and come down to your viewers level! Give Eastwick back! I dont believe I will watch your programming again. You could at least finish what you started. Totally bummed out! Barbara Walters come on thats so yesterday!
ABC! What the heck are you thinkin? Cancel Eastwick! Are you nuts? Give it back in its original slot. No one wants to watch Barbara Walters and especially Ugly Betty! Eastwick is a breath of fresh air. Thats not a way to win over the people! Please re-consider.

Well this answers why I have essentially left network tv behind. It’s rare that I find a network series that I’m interested in, causing me to mainly watch cable shows. Eastwick was one of the few ABC shows I enjoyed watching. If the powers that be had deigned to promote Eastwick as much as they did Couger (whatever) maybe it would have had a chance. I’m really disappointed because I so enjoyed Eastwick. I’m not sure when I come back around to ABC. Too Bad!
BTW.. PLEEEASE show the remaining shows. Don’t leave the fans totally hanging.
I think this really SUCKS! I really look forward to watching this show with my daughter every Wednesday. It is refreshing to some of the crap (reality shows) that are on tv now in days. ABC please re consider.
