New Yorkers won’t know what hit them in the first season of the Elsbeth TV show on CBS. As we all know, Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Elsbeth is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustrated when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the first season episodes of Elsbeth here. *Status Update Below
A CBS police-procedural comedy-drama series, the Elsbeth TV show is a spin-off of The Good Wife legal and political drama. The series stars Carrie Preston, Wendell Pierce, and Carra Patterson. In the first season, Gloria Reuben recurs and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jane Krakowski, Linda Lavin, Retta, and Blair Underwood guest. The story revolves around Elsbeth Tascioni (Preston), an astute but unconventional attorney. After leaving her successful legal career in Chicago to tackle a new investigative role in New York City, Elsbeth uses her very unique point of view and personality to make astute observations and corner brilliant criminals alongside the NYPD. She works under Captain C.W. Wagner (Pierce), a charismatic and revered leader. Elsbeth is partnered with Officer Kaya Blanke (Patterson), a stoic and ethical officer who quickly develops an appreciation for Elsbeth’s insightful and offbeat ways.

Elsbeth was too predictable and didn’t hold my attention. I would rather watch So Help Me Todd
‘Elsbeth’ is a fresh, funny and very entertaining show! Ms. Carrie Preston is hilarious as Elsbeth! My wife and I have never seen her type of character before in a slightly serious, drama, comedy show. Her mannerisms, dry humor and innocent voice keep us laughing! Thank you CBS for a great New Show! My wife and I have Loved All of the episodes! Also, all of the characters work great together! Please CBS…Do Not Cancel this show. ~ Peace, Marc
Perfect example of too much of a good thing. Small doses on The Good Wife were entertaining. A one hour show of the same is way too much.
Hi Sherry, Have you seen the show? I never watched ‘The Good Wife’, so I have no clue of Carrie Preston’s previous character. Please give Carrie a chance, she is really pretty funny in the show. ~ Peace, Marc
Have not watched the show….. that being said, she annoyed the crap out of me on the Good Wife and now the commercials are sending me over the edge. Whoever thought a show devoted to this incredibly annoying character needs to completely re-think the idea.
