What kinds of calls will we hear in the first season of the Emergency Call TV show on ABC? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Emergency Call is cancelled or renewed for season two. An ABC unscripted TV series, Emergency Call documents the first few crucial minutes of emergencies as told through the lens of America’s 911 call takers. An estimated 240 million calls are made every year to 911 call centers across the country. Hosted by actor Luke Wilson, the program follows the dramatic moments leading up to the arrival of help rather than the events after the firefighters, police, or emergency medical services teams arrive. The series focuses on the extreme, suspenseful, and sometimes humorous stories that flood 911 call centers.

The show puts 911 operators in a very good light as it should. I find the show very addicting, anxious to see the next episode.
I really enjoyed Emergency Called. I worked in a large corporation where our security team had to communicate with the com center. I was a supervisor so I was involved in the craziness of it all. It brings back great memories. Plus it teaches people what the 911 operators go through and how fast they have to think on their feet and communicate. It might even teach those who call for certain things who to communicate with in order to keep 911 open for true emergencies. I really hope there is a second season.
Renew…better reality show than normal. Even as a registered nurse, I thoroughly enjoyed Emergency. Vote for renewal.
I think it’s the best live show I ever watched. I know it’s a hard job our 911 callers do. But this show how hard it really is because the operators are so involved and concerned and have to take that next call and do it again. This shows what warriors for everyone that needs to make that call. PLEASE CONTINUE TO FILM THESE!

It was nice to view a show where people actually cared about each other with no political motive or forced propaganda. It needs to stay on!

I only saw the first episode of emergency call 9n abc and I think it should be renewed
Outstanding Raleigh-Wake County 911 has retired telecommunicators that could reveal awesome stories! Most have been taped and stored-one episode on Oprey Winfrey. I am retired supervisor of 28 years. 911 is emergency medical dispatch and have hundreds of antiquated calls (before computerized assistance) and millions since. Stories are real and true.
Wish we could find out what happened or maybe even see the faces. Maybe for future episodes? Interviews after?
Unfortunately, that would take away from the reality of the TV show. Most of the time, we don’t learn the outcome of the calls we handle.
I did like it. I wasn’t sure when watching promos for the show. But it was very interesting. I will keep watching it and hope it gets renewed.
