Most of The CW’s new dramas were cancelled last season but this fall’s Arrow and Beauty and the Beast have gotten off to good starts. How will Emily Owens, MD perform in the ratings — will it be a big hit, a moderate success, or will it be quickly cancelled instead?
Emily Owens, MD follows a young intern (Mamie Gummer) who’s starting work at the prestigious at Denver Memorial Hospital. After being in school for so long, she’s looking forward to finally coming into her own as a confident young woman — until she realizes that the world of medicine can be a lot like high school. The cast also includes Justin Hartley, Aja Naomi King, Kelly McCreary, Harry Lennix, Necar Zadegan, and Michael Rady.
Airing on Tuesday nights, Emily Owens runs opposite NCIS: Los Angeles on CBS; New Girl and The Mindy Project on FOX; Go On and The New Normal on NBC; and Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23 on ABC (starting October 23rd).
