We finally have some news about the fate of Fairly Legal — and it’s not good. It’s being reported that the USA Networks TV series has been cancelled after two seasons on the air.
Fairly Legal revolves around a young female lawyer (Sarah Shahi) who changes her profession to become a mediator at the law firm that her father founded. The cast also includes Michael Trucco, Virginia Williams, Baron Vaughn, and Ryan Johnson.
The first season registered lackluster ratings — a 0.9 demo rating and 3.55 million total viewers — so USA decided to revamp the show when they gave it a renewal.
Despite some cast changes and a new showrunner, Fairly Legal did even worse in its second season, garnering a 0.6 rating with 2.74 million viewers.
Shahi has been booked on NBC’s struggling Chicago Fire. In a statement to Deadline, USA said, “Sarah Shahi is undoubtedly a star and we’re thrilled she’ll be joining our sister network NBC on Chicago Fire… We are proud of Fairly Legal and thank the very talented cast and crew for two fantastic seasons.”
What do you think? Are you sorry to hear that Fairly Legal has been cancelled? Did you like season one or season two better?
sOOOO UPSET…..THE BEST SHOW……WHY NOT GET RID OF THE GARBAGE THAT IS INFESTING OUR TV’S….
Too bad – USA really has good programs and characters. I wish they could have kept this show on. It was really fun and good.
Why do they keep canceling good shows. And keep adding new crap. TV is feally going in the dump.
Really disappointed Fairly Legal is cancelled this was a Great Show!!! Very Entertaining and great acting!!. The Network made a mistake in cancelling this show.
I have enjoyed both seasons.its a shame not continuing it was enjoyable easy watching tv
I have watched both seasons of Fairly Legal and the first of common Law both great shows, they are up there with NCIS which I have been watching forever. Big mistake.
BTW – thanks to the abysmal glut of awful “reality” shows and low budget schlock, my TV viewing has dropped tremendously. Leaves me more time to surf the net, and hang with my cyber friends.
However, the local stations are now broadcasting digitalized goodies from the “old days” and it is enticing me back to the fold. Drat.
Fairly Legal Season one was fine. Season Two was a bit rough with the back story. It lost its edge of reality. But then, all lawyer shows are science fiction and have no relationship to reality.
LEVARGE ROCKS … STOP CABNCELLING SHOWS PLEASE!!

Fairly Legal has been very interesting to watch and always has shown ways of negotiation that would be helped in many aspects in life…very enjoyable show …really believe show could have had many more seasons…would like to have seen Kate and Ben get together at some point….I am saddened that such a good show has been canceled…maybe can be revived….please network revive good show…
I am very upset. I really wished fairly legal was not cancelled. This was one of my favorite shows!!!
It’s disappointing to read this news. This is a great, multi-faceted show and I was anxiously awaiting season 3. It’s unfortunate that the viewership was low enough to call for cancellation.
To be honest, it was my personal favorite too.
But ratings are rating.
Sponsors vs Viewer.
Sponsors come first.
