MTV hasn’t renewed Finding Carter for a third season but they do want more episodes. The cable channel has ordered a dozen more installments, bringing the season tally to 24 episodes. The additional episodes will begin airing later this year.
On Finding Carter, a teenager (Kathryn Prescott) discovers that her beloved single mom actually abducted her as an infant and she’s reunited with her birth family. The cast also includes Cynthia Watros, Anna Jacoby-Heron, Alexis Denisof, Zac Pullam, and Alex Saxon.
Season two episodes are currently airing on Tuesday nights. The first seven installments have averaged a 0.41 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 810,000 viewers. Season-to-season, that’s down by 17% in the demo and down by 29% in total viewership.
