The producers of Flashpoint have announced the end of their beloved cop series after 75 episodes and five seasons.
Created by Stephanie Morgenstern and Mark Ellis in 2007 for CTV in Canada. CBS came on board as a production partner in 2008 and Flashpoint ran for three seasons as a successful utility player for the network. CBS made a deal to take on some of the episodes from the fourth season and then ION made a deal to take on the rest, as part of a syndication package.
CTV renewed Flashpoint for a fifth season and, in January, ION followed suit. Production began in February and will supposedly wrap in June. We don’t know when they’ll air but we do know that those will be the TV show’s final episodes.
In a message to fans on Facebook, the producers wrote:
To the Flashpoint Family:
Today we announced to our cast and crew that this will be our final season of FLASHPOINT. While still at our creative apex, we’ve decided to conclude the series on a high note. This will allow us to give our fans the satisfaction of a fitting series conclusion with our 75th, and final, episode. Producing FLASHPOINT over the past five seasons has been an exceptional adventure, and we are extremely grateful to all of you for being with us every step of the way. We hope that by announcing this now, you’ll be able to enjoy the fifth season to the utmost, and properly say goodbye to Team 1 along with all of us.
In response to numerous messages to fans, the producers later wrote, “Thanks to all the fans for your support! It wouldn’t have been the same without you. We promise to deliver a memorable final chapter.”

Please Bring Flashpoint back!! I love this show and I even record the reruns because of how amazing it is!!! Please bring it back I’m sure the cast would love more seasons…I want to know how Sam and Jules handle parenting and the job(Sam being Team 3 leader) and how the boss does at teaching now at the academy and it just needs to come back!!
Bring back flashpoint!! Literally watched the whole thing in a week! I’m obsessed with it! I watch it 24/7. It’s such a great show and so many people would love for it to come back! It’s a show that never should of ended! Bring back flashpoint pleaseee!

I just found this show on Netflix and I am already on end of season 4 and already know this show has been cancelled. I am so disappointed as this is the best cop show I have ever watched. I do watch a lot of cop shows and none beat this show. PLEASE BRING IT BACK TO TV.
I’ve watched the 5 seasons in 10 days or less, it was amazing, I loved the way the script described each case, the psicological sides, the team as a family, how they trusted each other, the message of peace and tolerance in the terrorist atacks episodes. Every episode had a message for the audience, every scene sent a message.
To the producers, writers, cast, and every person who was part of this serie> thank you.
OMG Sooo disappointed. Sick of the same old CSI cop shows, this was different and exciting. Great character roles and story lines, have been so hooked. Devistated that its cancelled and hate the way ii ended too, on a cliffhanger? Leaves us wanting more, not concluded finale to the series. Plese please bring it back or at least run repeated series… nah n just please bring it back..were all addicted, its fresh and new well thought out storylines make it far more believeable.
