ABC is still trying to fill that Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot. Many ABC shows have been given that timeslot and they’ve all been cancelled — Killer Women, Body of Proof and Lucky 7, to name just a few. So, how’s the new Forever TV show doing? Will it break the trend or be cancelled as well?
On the Forever TV show, New York City’s star medical examiner is Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd). He can ascertain things that most can not because of his vast experience — he’s been alive for 200 years but can’t figure out how or why. The rest of the cast includes Alana de la Garza, Lorraine Toussaint, Donnie Keshawarz, Joel David Moore, and Judd Hirsch.
The series got off to an okay start, following the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars on a Monday night. It attracted a 1.7 rating with 8.59 million viewers. The following night, in its permanent timeslot, the demo rose slightly but viewership dropped.

In week two, the ratings tumbled to a 1.4 in the demo with 5.69 million. In week three, they fell even lower and last week’s installment hit new lows with a 1.1 demo rating and 4.81 million viewers.
Just four weeks into the season and this show is already in serious trouble. ABC needs a successful show to fill the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot and it’s clear that Forever isn’t the answer to their prayers. It’s unlikely that they’ll order any installments beyond their initial 13 episode order.
Will all of the episodes air? I suspect that ABC will release the six remaining episodes — probably before the holidays. The network may find other programming to air in the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot during at least some of November sweeps however.
Either way, unless there’s a miraculous turnaround in the ratings, Forever is as good as cancelled. It’s yet another TV show about an immortal that will see its life cut short.

Well, after all the comments you have received from people telling you how much we loved this show and do not want it cancelled, what will you do? PLEASE renew it.
I love this show and I was happy with the ending but please tell me that is not the end of the series. I want it to come back and I want to see what happens between Henry and the detective. Will he tell her the truth? There will always be crimes and mysteries to solve. Forever could go on forever. Please keep it on the air.

This show us one of the few we can watch with our daughter AND enjoy. I applaud the last episode for giving us a little closure but I would LOVE to see it renewed.
Please do not cancel this show! What seems to be the problem, must be way too intelligent.
So of course you cancel it before anyone gets a chance to learn about it. May need to expand and enlarge some of the crime scenes. He’s British, how about traveling around Europe. Have American connections. Love the actors, keep developing them. It does need to be bigger. Great start, please, please keep it.

Please keep forever; if abc would leave it alone and quit putting other stuff in its place, it could survive on its own but it seems about every week something else is where this show usually is. Just leave it alone and let it shine.
Forever is the best show on TV. So many comments, on so many boards have already stated this. This show is so different, refreshing and has a superb cast and storyline. I do think however, that putting a new show at a 10:00pm time slot isn’t really fair. A lot of comments that I have read on so many comment boards say the same thing. Please give ‘Forever’ a 2nd season. Everything I read about why this show should be cancelled is the low ratings and how ABC needs a better show for their 10:00 pm time slot. So many viewers have already posted about how much they love this show – as well as I do. By all means, put another show in the 10:00pm time slot but please put ‘Forever’ in an earlier time slot. ABC should keep Forever. This is my favorite show on TV right now, above even Agents of SHIELD. What makes the show amazing is the relationships that are evolving as the series moves on.

I think ABC should keep Forever. It has done better in that time slot than previous shows and the writing has only improved with each episode. I enjoy the premise of this series, but most of all love the way these characters interact with one another. This may be a show about a immortal medical examiner, but it’s the relationships that make it work.
Keep it! Keep it! Definitely Renew Forever! No doubt about it, that is the best decision to make. This show is fantastic. The ensemble is family already and would be sorely missed if they did not return. The fanbase is dedicated to the show. For example, this is the only show I watch live. Forever is my favorite show that ABC has ever aired. I believe the time slot has not helped the viewer numbers, but the fans who love Forever love it dearly!!! There will be more viewers and fans if the time slot is changed, that is certain. Please renew Forever!!
