What’s This TV Show About?
A Freeform family drama, The Fosters stars Teri Polo, Sherri Saum, Hayden Byerly, Noah Centineo, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, and Cierra Ramirez. The story centers on Stef Foster (Polo), a dedicated police officer, and school administrator Lena Adams (Saum). An interracial lesbian couple, Stef and Lena are raising a blended family of foster, biological, and adopted kids, in San Diego.
Season Five Ratings
The fifth season of The Fosters averaged a 0.25 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 619,000 viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 27% and down by 23%, respectively. Learn how The Fosters stacks up against the other Freeform TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Though the ratings are still positive, I wouldn’t be surprised if this TV series ends with season five, and that nice 100 episode sized syndication package. Remember what happened with Switched at Birth. Although its fourth season received higher ratings than season four of The Fosters, eventually, Freeform announced that family drama would end with season five. The Fosters is the best show on tv. It’s the opposite of Seinfeld’s show about ‘nothing’ (which I also loved)….The Foster’s is a show about ‘everything’ There isn’t a social issue that they don’t brilliantly tackle. If this very diverse show were to be cancelled, the result would be an enormous void in TV broadcasting as it would deprive the viewing public of an extremely intelligent, positive and mature outlook on the most sensitive social issues.
Please do not cancel the fosters! I promise you will not be sorry. I binge watched it this summer (along with many others) and can not wait for season 6! #lovethefosters
Only thing i can say is with how they ended season 5 of the Fosters there had better be a season 6 if there isn’t I will make sure to not watch Freeform again

Yes, I want The Fosters to return for season six. We need to know what happened to Callie’s friend did she end up getting deported or not? Is she going to live in the church? What about her parents? What happens with Jesus and to his girlfriend, and Brandon and his girlfriend? This is my favorite show and if it happened to get canceled I would be heartbroken!
We will get to see all those things in January this ids about season 6 lol not season 5b
Please renew the show!! We need season 6 we need to know what happens next !! Without this show Freeform is NOTHING!
They can’t just leave it with all that they have to renew it. If they don’t a lot of people are gonna be mad. No point in not renewing it, it’s a great tv show.
Freeform itself might as well cancel, if this show is canceled. This show gives that network life!!

Please renew season six of The Fosters. I love this show so much, and I am twenty years old. I will be highly upset if they cancel this show.
I will never watch another Freeform show EVER is they leave us hanging like that. That is not respectful to the viewers who support their network. they atleast need a season 6 to finish it off if they are not going to renew.
