Selena Gomez is going to Freeform. Deadline reports the pop star is teaming with the network and Aaron Kaplan for a new drama series.

Gomez is far from the first pop star to produce a series on Freeform. Jennifer Lopez serves as an executive producer for The Fosters and Nicki Minaj is producing her own comedy series, Nicki, for the network.

The untitled series is being described as a “Latina Empire” and will center on an 18-year-old girl from a low-income neighborhood.

The show was inspired by a speech made by high school senior Ana Cobarrubias, who will serve as a consultant on the show.
