TV show description:
This thriller TV show is based on the Turkish television series titled Suskunlar and revolves around friendship, love, revenge and the moral dilemma of how far one will go in the pursuit of justice.
In the series, five best friends have a dark secret they thought was buried 25 years ago, but they soon discover that they can’t hide their past forever.
Jackson Brooks (David Lyons) is a successful attorney who seems to have it all. He’s engaged to his boss, Marina (Claire van der Boom), and he’s on the fast track to becoming partner at his firm. His world is turned upside down when his long-lost childhood friends unexpectedly reappear after 25 years.
Years ago, Jackson, Gil Harris (Michael Raymond-James), Shawn Cook (Larenz Tate), and Boots (Derek Phillips) always stuck together, like brothers. They spent their boyhood summers in the small town of Dalton, Texas, swimming in the quarry, shooting bottle rockets and doing everything they could to mine the fun out of small-town life.
But their idyllic world turned chaotic one fateful summer afternoon. A well-intentioned and heroic attempt to save their friend Jessie West (Bre Blair) from her alcoholic mother ultimately cost the 13-year-old boys nine months at Quitman Youth Detention Facility. Their lives were changed forever.
Now 25 years later, the nightmare of the worst nine months of their lives has resurfaced. A mystery even deeper than their buried past is uprooted. The brotherhood must now band together to right the wrongs of their shared past. It’s a journey that will push the limits of their loyalty and ignite in them an unquenchable thirst for revenge.
Other characters include Detective Liz Winters (Deidrie Henry), Warden Ray Carroll (Conor O’Farrell) and Terry Bausch (Demetrius Grosse).
Episode #10 — She Sang Hymns Out of Tune
The group pull together for their final chance at vengeance and no one emerges unscathed.
First aired: June 5, 2016.
What do you think? Do you like the Game of Silence TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I’m so disappointed that this show has been cancelled. There aren’t many good shows on anymore. Do hope you will bring it back!!!
I look forward to this show every week with great anticipation. I really really hope some other network or stream will pick it up for another season. It has left a lot up in the air.
I want the 2nd season! Shame yall get us interested in a show then cancel it! Guess it didn’t have enough sex in it for you!
Game Of Silence should not had been cancelled! Every hour would go by so fast. Loved all the twist and turns! Kept us guessing. Good story telling. So many fans not happy with NBC.
Please give us our show back!! Game of Silence is the best network show on television! Everyone I know watches and can’t wait for the next episode. We want Season 2 of Game of Silence!!
I would like very much for the Game of Silence to be renewed. I often watched the show on the internet do to a schedule conflict. I hope that this viewing is counted in a show’s rating. If it can be, please renew it.
Any chance it gets picked up by a cable network? Me and my wife LOVED this show!!!!
CAN’T BELIEVE IT…WE ALL LOVE GAME OF SILENCE, AND HAVE A WEEKLY GROUP GATHERING TO WATCH IT, AND NOW I SEE ITS BEEN CANCELLED…BRING IT BACK!!!! NBC WAS UNFAIR TO ANNOUNCE ITS CANCELLATION AFTER THE FIRST OR SECOND EPISODE, NOT GIVING IT A CHANCE…BRING IT BACK!!!! ITS ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS ON NBC..
NBC, I beg you to reconsider! Game of Silence is so deserving of a continued run. The plot is unlike anything else on network television. It’s a program that actually allows you to think as you’re viewing, unlike the other tired, formulaic junk shoved down viewers’ throats so often these days. The writing and acting are phenomenal; you actually feel something for these characters. For crying out loud, the show barely got going before the plug was pulled! My family and I have watched this show EVERY week without fail and are heartbroken that it has ended (and with such… Read more »
This was the only show on NBC that I regularly watch. It is well written, acted, and has a great storyline. So much better than all of the “Ninja Warrior” type shows that are on the air today. I hope another network realizes what a great hit they could have on their hands and picks it up.
We watch this show. Every week. How horrible we feel about it being cancelled. Its such a great show we want to know what happens next???
NBC plz reconsider. This show was so interesting and full of great drama and acting. I thoroughly enjoyed the finale. It made me look forward to the next season.
please reconsider cancelling, the show is really good!! Game of silence needs a second chance!!!!!!!!!!!
VERY DISAPPOINTED. This is one of a number of shows we start to watch and the for no reason that I can understand … its cancelled. I wish they would reconsider. Poor judgement for NBC to cancel.
It is really sad that they are cancelling this show. It was just getting started.
They did not give it a chance to lift off the ground. NBC please reconsider.
