TV show description:
This thriller TV show is based on the Turkish television series titled Suskunlar and revolves around friendship, love, revenge and the moral dilemma of how far one will go in the pursuit of justice.
In the series, five best friends have a dark secret they thought was buried 25 years ago, but they soon discover that they can’t hide their past forever.
Jackson Brooks (David Lyons) is a successful attorney who seems to have it all. He’s engaged to his boss, Marina (Claire van der Boom), and he’s on the fast track to becoming partner at his firm. His world is turned upside down when his long-lost childhood friends unexpectedly reappear after 25 years.
Years ago, Jackson, Gil Harris (Michael Raymond-James), Shawn Cook (Larenz Tate), and Boots (Derek Phillips) always stuck together, like brothers. They spent their boyhood summers in the small town of Dalton, Texas, swimming in the quarry, shooting bottle rockets and doing everything they could to mine the fun out of small-town life.
But their idyllic world turned chaotic one fateful summer afternoon. A well-intentioned and heroic attempt to save their friend Jessie West (Bre Blair) from her alcoholic mother ultimately cost the 13-year-old boys nine months at Quitman Youth Detention Facility. Their lives were changed forever.
Now 25 years later, the nightmare of the worst nine months of their lives has resurfaced. A mystery even deeper than their buried past is uprooted. The brotherhood must now band together to right the wrongs of their shared past. It’s a journey that will push the limits of their loyalty and ignite in them an unquenchable thirst for revenge.
Other characters include Detective Liz Winters (Deidrie Henry), Warden Ray Carroll (Conor O’Farrell) and Terry Bausch (Demetrius Grosse).
Episode #10 — She Sang Hymns Out of Tune
The group pull together for their final chance at vengeance and no one emerges unscathed.
First aired: June 5, 2016.
What do you think? Do you like the Game of Silence TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Please continue this series ! I have watched every episode !!
It was captivating very disappointed indeed
Game of silence should not have been canceled. It was very good and always held my attention. I am very disappointed that it will not be back.
I am not an avid tv watcher.I prefer to read in the evenings. This show, however, had me hooked from the first episode. I am tired of music, dating and other reality shows. I anxiously awaited new episodes, shocking my husband of forty three years when just prior to a trip I had him tape the last two. I had never taped anything before! I am very disappointed the show is cancelled. No.no.no!
Game of silence is a Great show..unpredictable and entertaining..nbc is always quick to cut a show. Do away with nbc!!
Game of silence is extremely entertaining..never know what’s going to happen next. That’s just like nbc to drop a show based on their so called ratings. What about the viewers that actually enjoy the show. Could it be the time and day the show airs. Nbc suck!!
Please don’t cancel! Best show ever! My family loved it!
NBC does it again. Game of Silence is one of the best shows I have been watching. I would love to know what the criteria are that determine what show(s) are cancelled. All my friends watch the show and love it as much as I do. I am so disappointed and probably will not watch any new shows on NBC in the future.
Game Of Silence was a suspenseful thriller that had a really shocking ending which included many other twists and turns and they were all supposed to have been continued into season 2. Unfortunately, it was cancelled prematurely by NBC and the producers and writers were unable to give the series the planned ending that it so richly deserved! ABC’s Nashville was just picked up today by both CMT and Hulu after weeks of negotiations and fan campaigns. We can do the same and try to save Game Of Silence too! I am very disappointed that the show was cancelled. The ending was Terrible. Please bring it back
Are you kidding! This is such a great show in so many ways! What is NBC thinking!!!!
I liked the suspense of Game of Silence. I never knew what was going to happen. Networks used to move shows around until they found a good time slot. Now it seems they cancel them after a few airings. I was so disappointed that the story will not continue after what happened in the last scene of the series finale. Please try the show again maybe this summer when there’s not much on tv.
There are few shows I can’t wait to see every Thursday. Casted well! I hope the show will be renewed. It was just getting started and would like a better conclusion!
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE reconsider. The majority of television that I currently watch is either on HBO, Showtime or Netflix, and this show would have been on one of those networks. It had a great storyline and I loved the actors. Most people aren’t watching network television anymore, because the quality of the programming is so poor, yet you go and cancel the one good one. Please bring it back!!
I LOVE this show…please “cancel”, renew…bring back:)
