TV show description:
This thriller TV show is based on the Turkish television series titled Suskunlar and revolves around friendship, love, revenge and the moral dilemma of how far one will go in the pursuit of justice.
In the series, five best friends have a dark secret they thought was buried 25 years ago, but they soon discover that they can’t hide their past forever.
Jackson Brooks (David Lyons) is a successful attorney who seems to have it all. He’s engaged to his boss, Marina (Claire van der Boom), and he’s on the fast track to becoming partner at his firm. His world is turned upside down when his long-lost childhood friends unexpectedly reappear after 25 years.
Years ago, Jackson, Gil Harris (Michael Raymond-James), Shawn Cook (Larenz Tate), and Boots (Derek Phillips) always stuck together, like brothers. They spent their boyhood summers in the small town of Dalton, Texas, swimming in the quarry, shooting bottle rockets and doing everything they could to mine the fun out of small-town life.
But their idyllic world turned chaotic one fateful summer afternoon. A well-intentioned and heroic attempt to save their friend Jessie West (Bre Blair) from her alcoholic mother ultimately cost the 13-year-old boys nine months at Quitman Youth Detention Facility. Their lives were changed forever.
Now 25 years later, the nightmare of the worst nine months of their lives has resurfaced. A mystery even deeper than their buried past is uprooted. The brotherhood must now band together to right the wrongs of their shared past. It’s a journey that will push the limits of their loyalty and ignite in them an unquenchable thirst for revenge.
Other characters include Detective Liz Winters (Deidrie Henry), Warden Ray Carroll (Conor O’Farrell) and Terry Bausch (Demetrius Grosse).
Episode #10 — She Sang Hymns Out of Tune
The group pull together for their final chance at vengeance and no one emerges unscathed.
First aired: June 5, 2016.
What do you think? Do you like the Game of Silence TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Please don’t cancel!!!! We love it.
I don’t understand why is wouldn’t get picked up.
Not sure why this show is being cancelled because it’s a thriller that makes you think that it’s very possible it could happen. Very disappointed. Will probably be replaced with some stupid reality show
Please do not cancel the show it is one of the best shows on TV Jackson just pulled his fiancée out of the trunk and you got a leave us hanging like this shame on you
I felt that this was one of the best new shows of the season. Tonight’s finale opened up an entire new season. to cancel it now, without giving it a chance to build an audience in a second season is wrong. you have given terrible shows a chance to develop a following, but are really jumping the gun on this one.
Please bring it back!!!!!!!
Omg! Im so devastated to learn of the cancellation. I’ve been looking forward every week to warch the show and spread to my relatives to start warching this show.NBC pls bring the show back.
Please NBC, listen to your viewers!!! It sure seems like there are a lot of Game of Silence fans out there who don’t want to see this series end. If not, hopefully another network will pick this up.
I cannot believe this show is being cancelled! It is well written, and each episode leaves the viewer waiting in anticipation for the next episode. I hope this show continues and if the big networks cannot see the value in it, I seriously hope another network will!
I have thoroughly enjoyed this show. Just like the season finale, each episode keeps you on a ledge. You want to see justice. You want to be a part of the group. Please reconsider keeping this show and make a season two.
Great show. Great story. Should never have been cancelled. There was more to tell, considering it was based on a true story. Bring it back!!!
David Lyon’s “Revolution” was canceled in the same way. What the problem NBC?
Bad decision, this was my wife and I favorite show.
This is amazing show; I can’t believe they would cancel it after one season and leave all of us fans in suspense.
I love this show. I pray another network picks it up
Please, please someone pick up this show. It has been the most exciting, intense show this season for me. I loved the characters and know the story could continue.
It shd be renewed. Thought it was an interesting series and didn’t end the right way. Shd not be cancelled
