School is out permanently for the cast and crew of Glory Daze. The one-hour TBS series has been cancelled following one season of 10 episodes, according to Variety.
The series takes place in the 1986 and revolves around a group of friends on an Indiana college campus. Glory Daze stars Kelly Blatz, Callard Harris, Matt Bush, Drew Seeley, Hartley Sawyer, Julianna Guill, and Tim Meadows.
It was one of the few original comedies on the network but apparently didn’t measure up. Back in November, the first episode attracted a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.828 million total viewers. The ratings declined after that, hitting a low of a 0.4 rating and 0.941 million.
The series finale of Glory Daze, titled “Some Like It Hot Tub,” aired on January 18th and registered a 0.6 in the demo and 1.053 million.
What do you think? Are you sorry to hear that the show’s been cancelled and won’t be back for season two?

It was a funny show it was a interesting idea for a show. I knew a few of the actors and actresses in it. Julianna Guill was amazing in it. She is beautiful. I wish they did not cancel it:(
I am extremely surprised!!!!! This show was the best show that’s been on regular TV in a long time!!! The reason the ratings were so low was because TBS only aired the show at 10pm on TUESDAYS!! and basically never aired re-runs at other times. If they gave this show a decent air time, it would have become extremely popular! The cast was astounding with all the guest stars and the script was hilarious!! I really hope someone else will pick up the show, or TBS changes their mind!
noo!!! i can’t believe it! this was one of the few actually amusing shows on tv. Granted it wasn’t lough out loud funny but it definitely had its moments. I am saw to see it go so soon. Reminds me of what happened to Arrested Development…what has tv come to…
Loved the show. Sad to see it ago.
Lotbass– you should definitely watch the show. A lot of shows are alike, and plenty are more successful than others. Think about a sit-com. It’s always a family (or group of friends close enough to pretty much be family) of characters who run into weekly problems, and the viewers make sure to fit it into their schedule. How different was the Honeymooners from The King of Queens, and how different is The Simpsons from Family Guy? In terms of their genre? Not by all that much, really. You’ve got it DVR’d. If that’s the case, you’re likely within the demographic… Read more »
They should cancel a tyler perry show instead half of that stuff is not even funny let alone compared to the humor in glory daze
Are they definitley not making a second season? I really liked it. I hope they do. I thought it was really good.
Thanks.
With any luck ABC Family or something will pick it up and keep the show going. However I doubt it. It seems to me that the powers that be would rather take all the entertaining shows off the air so they can keep playing reruns and overplayed old movies over and over again. Just my opinion.
whyyyyyy!! this show was sooo tight and was the only thing i looked forward to advertise to teenagers and i garentee you they will watch this
Funny that they decided to cancel the only show I have watched on that channel in like 10 years. Go figure. I guess they don’t like having viewers at that network.
I was wrong, I also watched that show with the demon family that moves to earth to try destroy the drill. It is a cartoon with TONS of famous voices. Glory Days and this show were the only shows in like 10+ years worth even tuning into this network for.
UGGHHH!! I loved this show. It made me look forward to transferring to a larger college. Wish there was going to be a season 2. I thought this show was awesome.
Thanks for the responses, 2nd anon & zack. I’ll hang on to the shows and try to watch ’em.
This series was A LOT like Greek, a little weak, but really watchable! Too sad that such a promising show with such promising new stars is being cancelled.
Wow this is a shocker to me, this show was awesome and no lotbass the show did not end in a cliffhanger. I thought this show is better then BMS is u have ever watched it
no keep watching them….they are so good..i wish there was a season two..as a college student i love everything about this show.
I have the entire season DVR’d but haven’t watched any episodes. Are they worth watching or should I delete them?
Did the season end with a cliff-hanger? (If it did, I don’t want to watch.)
Wow…..who didn’t see this coming? I’m more than surprised that the idea of this show even went through a season let alone two episodes, exactly how many shows are out there with the emphasis on college being “party time?” Oh wait, the twist is that this is in the past which makes it better? No offense to the fans of this show but to me it all seemed too idiotic to have even been conceived from a script. I mean sure, as a TV movie possibly but as a series, I think not.
The show was incredibly funny. I highly recommend watching it. The season finale was not a cliff-hanger hence the show can be pretty stand alone. I am very very sad it ended since while the idea of college partying may not have been original the way it was done, and the constant references to the 80s was hysterical.
