NBC is not grim about Grimm. While it hasn’t yet decided whether to cancel the Grimm TV series after season five or renew it for a season six, NBC’s Entertainment Chair, Robert Greenblatt, sounds more positive than negative about the fate of this fantasy police procedural drama.
Greenblatt spoke to The Oregonian‘s Kristi Turnquist during the TCA winter press tour. As quoted below, it sounds like the Peacock Network is more fond than not of this Friday night fright-fest. Brimming with Wesen-ality, Grimm stars: David Giuntoli, Russel Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Bree Turner, Silas Weir, Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Claire Coffee, and yes, Bitsie Tulloch.
From OregonLive.com (emphasis ours):
Will “Grimm” be renewed?: The ratings have been down so far in Season 5. When I asked NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt about the show’s future at the recent Television Critics Association Winter 2016 Press Tour, Greenblatt said, “We like ‘Grimm.’ It hasn’t been renewed yet, but it’s a show we love, and it’s actually a big international success for our company.” Greenblatt added, “I think ‘Grimm’ isn’t going anywhere. Which is a hedging sort of statement. We haven’t decided. But we like ‘Grimm.'”
Airing on Fridays, which is traditionally a low viewership night, especially for the advertiser-prized younger segment of viewers, “Grimm” picks up viewers via delayed viewing, Greenblatt said.
“I think the numbers have gone down a little bit because of that,” he said. “But there are some really great ideas for future shows. ‘Grimm”s OK.”
But as Greenblatt said, that’s not a confirmation of renewal, so we’ll have to wait and see.
The season 5B premiere of Grimm airs tomorrow, Friday, January 29, 2016, at 9:00pm ET/PT. Check out this article teasing Grimm‘s return, chock full of new season five photos.

We love Grimm. I personally think it’s a bad time slot. I own all seasons and watch on netlfix. I cant follow Friday schedule. I know there’s a loyal fan base. Renew Season Six!!
My favorite show is Grimm. Every Friday night I can’t wait to watch this show It’s awesome show! Please keep the show for the audiences who LOVE this show.
Renew it!! We love it! faithfully watching it. great characters.
Grimm is a favorite show than my friend and I keep up with and discuss after every episode. I dvr all ;the old and new shows to go over them just in case we missed some clue. We have found the dvr came in handy especially to analyze the beginning wording which disappears to quickly. I would hate to lose such a great program. Here is hoping they will renew it for many more seasons and not just for season 6.
Grimm is my Favourite show. My friends and I watch together and plan a binge watching in the future. The only problem is the long hiatus
is obvious that the GrimmWriters though they say that actually have a lot of ideas, is a lie.
They are repeating the same again, with Adalind-hiding Nick she´s an Hexenbiest as Juliette did. And the episode #Grimm100 was trash. All is a mess in this season 5, nobody can dies and the show ratings are not enough for pay more money for that.
I loved grimm but i know when is necessary stop.
Keeeeeeeep it going! It’s just getting better and better each week. It’s the best show on tv. Bar none.
Grimm is probably the best show on tv. We have watched every episode and hope there are many more. If you are counting votes, count mine as a vote to KEEP THE SHOW!
Love this show. I watch it live every week. Keep it going!

One of my favorite TV shows. The storyline is great and the actors are great. Please keep this show going!
Love Grimm! Keep it going!
Grimm is my favorite show on network TV. The storyline is interesting and the scripts are getting better as the plot progresses. It deserves another season…or even two.
This is my favorite NBC show, other than the voice. Have not missed an episode since it started. There is nothing like it on TV right now. You will be making a mistake if you cancel this show.My husband is even watching now. We can’t wait to get back home on Friday night to see the next episode. Please Please don’t cancel.
Please renew Grimm! Brilliant acting and truly unique story lines! It can go in so many directions. Love it when each episode includes a unique fairytale in combination with the main character story lines
