Grimm aired its 100th episode on NBC last week, and it has been a fight for the series to make it that far, according to David Giuntoli. He spoke about the series in an interview with The Los Angeles Times this week, and he made one shocking revelation.
Season six could be the last season for this series. NBC has not yet renewed the series though, so it could very well end with the fifth season. Fans will need to wait for news on the fate of the series.
The series’ 100th episode did answer a big question. Nick and Monroe found the treasure that was hinted at during the start of the series. They managed to uncover it on the last episode, and it had great power. It healed Monroe from an infected bite.
Giuntoli said the following about the future of the series:
“It’s very rare that an actor gets so many opportunities between “action” and “cut.” Most of your time as an actor is spent trying to get to that point, not living within those two points, and when you’re on a long-running series, you have so much time in between those two moments to actually yell “cut.” So, I’m ever grateful for all of the opportunities I get to kind of change it up — fix things, better things, tweak things. If we get a Season 6, it could very well be our last season, and it will be the first time that the writers would get to write to an ending. If we do, it’ll be a very fun ride, with major events.”
The series has been a Friday night staple for several seasons, but the ratings have seen a dip this season. Do you want a sixth season of this series? Tell us what you think.
I love the show and look forward each week. I like that the storyline involves with history and fairytale this is NBCs best show.
Grimm is a great show pls do not cancel it!!!
I love this show & watch it every Friday. Please don’t cancel a great well written show with actors who switch between action & comedy. The storyline is now were more can be expanded into the history of Grimm & not just episodic arcs.
Grimm is one of my favorite series I look forward to its airing every Friday. I have found the last couple of episodes really exciting. I love when themes hinted at years ago are wrapped up in a later season. It shows that the writers have respect for the audience. I hope it will be renewed for a 6th season.
Still one of the best shows on TV. Supernatural’s still going, Grimm’s jus as good if not better
if that is what it takes to get a proper ending., yes but please know more than 13 episodes,!!! and make eve & trubel, main cast members.!! the kick ass sisters.!!
Please, DO NOT END!!! I LOVE Grimm and look forward to it and religiously watch it. It is a great show and ALL of the characters are tremendous. WHY do all of the great shows keep getting cancelled?! KEEP IT!!!!
Myself, I became disenchanted with it during season 3 and stopped viewing. I will not watch a show just to watch something, it has to engage me. So if I don’t watch TV and do something else, that is fine with me.
But all series eventually come to an end.
has a fan of grimm., i never blamed any one actor,!! the writers & directors let this show and the actors down, the writers lost direction in season 4, they would open, new plots and never close them.!! nbc needs to fire, norberto & the 2 main writers of this show, so that we the last few fans can get a good ending to the show, with out that i will not order season 5 blu-ray,!!! PS. ALL THE ACTORS ON THE SHOW GRIMM WERE GREAT.!!
Please do not cancel. It is on the worse night of the week for ratings.Try moving it to another night,Give season 6 on another night I will start a social media to save the show.
Oh NO !! Please, at least give us a Season 6. This is the MOST interesting series on TV. It is always the best, not only in story telling, but it is also funny. It is like no other show around. Please give us a Season 6 – I love Grimm – I watch it religiously.
Of course I’ll be delighted…I don’t want it to end, GRIMM is such an UNDERRATED show, I really hope the renewal and many more seasons…especially with Nick and Adalind’s blossoming relationship
It is witty and great escapism. Unlike many series, this one must be wrapped up cleanly and clearly. No loss ends. It is one of my weekly TV highlights.
I love Grimm one of the few shows I set aside time to actually watch on television, and wait for with anticipation for upcoming seasons. It would be well missed in my day today viewing, it’s been an exciting ride and although I would rather not see it end a 6th season finale would be a nice wrap-up hopefully with a happy ending also.
No! NO! Please don’t go!
