There’s a little good news for fans of NBC‘s cancelled sitcom Growing Up Fisher. The network is finally getting around to airing the last two episodes.
Growing Up Fisher follows an unorthodox family that becomes closer after the parents divorce. The cast includes Elfman, J. K. Simmons, Eli Baker, Ava Deluca-Verley, and Lance Lim. Jason Bateman is the show’s narrator.
The show was cancelled earlier this month due to low ratings. The network only ordered 13 episodes of the mid-season replacement series and the last two episodes have been scheduled and then bumped twice.
The peacock network has now made room for the final episodes on Wednesday, June 11th, at 8pm. They’ll be followed by an NBC News special called “The People VS. O.J. Simpson: What the Jury Never Heard.”
Here are the episode descriptions:

What do you think? Ae you a fan of this series? Will you watch the last two episodes?
One of the better shows on tv. Can’t believe they cancelled it.
guess you have to be another so called reality show, more crap from NBC {no brains}. All we watch now is PBS and the British shows, lot better than the junk on network tv.
Growing Up Fisher was the best bit of fresh air I have enjoyed on your network in ages. Positive, humorous but with PURPOSE rather than a crass slap on the ass, the best writing and cast chemistry in ages …. PLEASE bring this back. We PROMISE we will spread the word to others to watch.
Please keep Growing Up Fisher on the air on NBC.
Please reconsider. Our family loved this show. We also weren’t able to watch the last two episodes / didn’t know if they aired and Kept looking for them each week. Really depressing to enjoy a show so much and have it disappear.
I was am soooo sad to see this show canceled…………it was a perfect fit with about a boy…………growing up fisher was an excellent cast………funny writing……..very heartwarming………….it always left me with warm fuzzies at the end………….NBC u should give this show another chance….wrong move on part 🙁
Glad it was canceled, looked terrible.
Obviously you never watched the show, otherwise you’d realize it was an excellent family comedy
Please please reconsider! We love Growing up Fisher!
This is something I like to call the OLYMPIC GAMES kiss of death. If the idiots at NBC decide to shorten the opening or closing ceremonies for a new show, it gets cancelled after a maximum of 2 seasons.
Victims include:
THE MARRIAGE REF (Vancouver 2010)
ANIMAL PRACTICE (London 2012)
GO ON (London 2012)
GROWING UP FISHER (Sochi 2014)
See NBC? This is why you do not mess around with the Olympic Games!
PLEASE reconsider canceling Growing Up Fisher. It’s a wonderful show. Sweet and funny.
We love this show. KEEP IT ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Omg..keep this show…its like the Goldberg’s. .great story line…well TBS..COULD YOU TAKE THIS ONE…pkease
I really did like this show!! I hate to see it go – it was the only other breath of fresh air behind ‘Parenthood’ that NBC had going for it!! I’ve never been a Jenna Elfman fan, and was skeptical from the initial commercials because of her, but wound up loving it, even liking her character!! Boo, NBC.
LOVE this show! So wlel done! It is laugh out loud funny! Such happy news to hear the remaining two episodes will be sired! So sad that this show has been cancelled! This show is so much better than About a Boy! Wish NBC would reconsider and renew this show!
So happy the last episodes will be shown. Don’t understand why NBC cancelled this show. It was laugh out loud funny and so enjoyable! MUCH funnier than About a Boy. Wish they’d NOT cancelled Growing Up Fisher!. Sad news indeed!
Sorry Georgia, I agree that this show should NOT be cancelled, but it’s not better than About a Boy. But I will concede that it’s just as wonderful as About a Boy. NBC is noted for saving junk/crap and giving the boot to decent family shows. Come on NBC, wake up!
KEEP this show ON!! Please. The ratings were better than on some other shows that were not cancelled – what’s up with that!? LOVE this show. The humor is great. I make sure to watch every episode.
Jenna Elfman was the weak link in this series. Her acting was over the top compared with the gentle comedy of J.K. Simmons. Could have been a great and sweet comedy. Too bad.
RENEW THIS SHOW!!!! Its a great show!!
