NBC’s previous Thursdays at 10pm drama, Do No Harm, was quickly cancelled. Will the network have better luck with Hannibal? We’ll see.
This TV series revolves around the partnership of an FBI criminal profiler (Hugh Dancy) and Doctor Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen), a famed forensic psychiatrist (who’s secretly a cannibalistic serial killer). The cast also includes Laurence Fishburne, Caroline Dhavernas, Aaron Abrams, Hettienne Park, Scott Thompson, and Lara Jean Chorostecki. NBC has ordered 13 episodes.

The show built on lead-in Go On by 45% and it’s the network’s best performance in that timeslot in over a year. Still, this can hardly be considered a winning performance overall.

What do you think? Do you like the Hannibal TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
WHEN I THINK OF ALL THE CRAP ON LOCAL TV YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHY EVERYONE WATCHES CABLE. PLEASE FIND A TIME SPOT FOR HANNIBAL ITS NOT LIKE YOUR STATION IS RUNNING OVER WITH HIT PROGRAMS. SOMETIME YOU HAVE TO GIVE IT A LITTLE TIME TO CATCH ON.
Hey Carol, IS YOUR CAPS LOCK BROKEN?
I’M 57 years old and I can’t wait each week for this show. It is no different impact wise as Silence of the Lambs. Everyone loved that movie, and I believe that there is still a DVD copy in at least 87% of homes today. And I’m certain that all the children of the families have watched it multiple of times. Most children are on computers and phones these days, so it must be the weaker adults that are having nightmares. Come on people it’s a tv show. And a Damn good one. Please renew.
DO NOT CANCEL!!!
I love watching Hannibal. Mads as Hannibal is superb. Makes me feel awkward for thinking he’s good looking, considering the character, but alas, just don’t care. I crave more. I want the backstory for Hannibal. I love Will and his love for stray dogs!
If NBC cancels, I won’t have anything left to watch on their network.
Lawrence and Mads are Super-Some of the rest of the cast-Emhh-?-Storyline/Plot-GOOD-Maybe a little cast update or more/less emphasis on some-LOVE The Moose-RENEW!
Do NOT cancel HANNIBAL. NBC don’t even think about it. It’s a small movie weekly. You have a gem. Good writing and acting. Don’t be STUPID. RENEW.
keep Hannibal. nothing else on TV comes even close to it. Everything else imaginative has been cancelled. We’re left with warmed up leftover sitcom story lines or reality drivel. Others comments are right on…if NBC plays it safe, someone else will pick it up and I’ll keep watching elsewhere!
The Walking Dead, Hannibal and Dexter the only shows worth watching in a long list of S**T on T.V. NBC would be ignorant to cancel Hannibal. Network television sucks, Hannibal changed my mind.
Thinking about killling Hannibal’s series? Are u mad? That series is a work of art, it falls of the stupid guided usual tv series police/drama/unreal type show
Lollipops it, it’s amazing. If they cancel it, I will never watch this station again!!!!!!!! IM not joking
history may repeat itself… remember when The Office got low ratings and NBC cancelled it, and so many people downloaded it they realized their mistake? there are others waiting in line to grab this jewel if they cancel. it will be such a loss….people are not going to stop watching it as long as it is available SOMEWHERE. if NBC cancels it will be their loss.
PLEASE RENEWWWWWWWWWWW! Mads Mikkelsen makes Hannibal lecter alive!
PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL THE SHOW!!! We are a lot of Danish People who LOOOOVE this show, especially because our fantastic MADS MIKKELSEN is doing a incredible job!
HANNIBAL is the best show on television right now and I would be crushed if it were not picked up for a second season! PLEASE RENEW HANNIBAL!!!
If I’m reading it right, the number of viewers has risen over time. This is one of the best shows on television. Absolutely fantastic with excellent casting, clever writing, & stunning cinematography. The shots are absolutely beautiful & convey so much meaning, emotion, & added insight to the overall plot. It’s the only show on NBC that I watch.
To cancel a show that is better than anythinn NBC has would screw up their dream of higher ratings in my opinion. The 3 million people who watch Hannibal would probably stop watching NBC shows all together and that would really mess them up. Well, I would stop watching their shows anyways…
