Though the ratings came down last season, The CW renewed Hart of Dixie anyway. Will the numbers continue to decline this year? Could the show be cancelled or is it sure to be renewed because of potential syndication profits? We’ll have to wait and see.
Hart of Dixie follows a big-city doctor (Rachel Bilson) who’s adjusting to small-town living and a complicated love triangle. The rest of the cast includes Scott Porter, Jaime King, Wilson Bethel, and Cress Williams.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically the following morning, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: The CW has renewed Hart of Dixie for a fourth season.
5/17 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Last year comparison: The second season of Hart of Dixie averaged a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.36 million total viewers.
Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you still like the Hart of Dixie TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
Hart of Dixie is my new Gilmore Girls! I love it so much!!! I hope it doesn’t get cancelled, but seeing that it’s moving to Fridays doesn’t look promising.
I love this show…please make it never stop. It’s my favorite show of all time. There is so much potential. With Joel and wade and G T….and what about lavon and AB. I want this show to go on…and I am a male 😉
But my wife and I can’t stop watching….we want 10 seasons at least please.
What can we do to support…I’d do anything
Love Jonas
Do not cancel this show I look forward in see this show ever Monday.
I’m much older than the age demographics Hart of Dixie is aiming for. But I loved season One and bought it as soon as I could. Season Two came along and I found myself wonder what happened. Did I miss something? I stuck with the show, even though I was suspicious that they handed the writing duties over to 15 year old boys. The show has lost it’s charm. All of the townsfolk are now just plain goofy. There are no responsible adults. And “I love you. You are my one and only (this week). Lets hit the sheets” has… Read more »
everything they said!!! “We want
Zade”!!!
I loved season 1 and 2 but this season is very boring. The writers killed the relationship between Wade and Zoe.
I love this show, because it makes me happy!! I like its simple values, and I hope it will be renewed…but please, it should become more spicy, with Zoe and Wade toghether again!!!!
I love this show and do not want to see it get cancelled. They should never have broken up Zade which is what the viewers want to see.
There is stereotyping and not a little silliness in Hart of Dixie, but this is possibly the only show in history that can get away with it because the characters are, well, characters. Funny, charming, smart, ridiculous, sweet, and anything but average. We watch HOD and have since the beginning because in this world of terrible politics, too many troubles to name, and slimy “entertainers,” it is just nice to sink into Blue Bell and those wonderful, happy people who live there. Although, we want Zoe to send that unsexy boyfriend of her’s packing and sent back to NYC, and… Read more »
This show has two sides to the coin. It is well written, well cast , well photographed, well edited and well acted. All the episodes hold my interest. I will watch as many as are eventually aired. The problem with the show is the unpleasant and even irritating stereotypes which would not hold true in an actual location down in Dixie. Members of all groups might not like furnishing, keeping house or entertaining. It is not true of all New Yorkers wishing to try small town living. Members of all groups might seem flighty and indecisive in crucial times. It… Read more »
Love this show but just had tough competition. Found it on Netflix and can’t wait to keep watching it!
I love this show! If Blue Bell was a real town, I would love to visit it and the people! I found it on Netflix and got hooked. Too much competition on Monday evening. How about moving it to a different night? I also feel like there isn’t as much intimacy and humor as in the first two seasons. Would LOVE to see Zoe get seriously “hooked up” with George. Not too sure I like what the writer has done to George’s image. The basic show is awesome and we don’t want to see it canceled.
Too much competition on Monday to survive. Love this show so please move it back.
Please don’t cancel this show. We love it!! It’s lighthearted but not too silly.
The reason ratings are allot lower this year is because of the change in broadcast day. Last year it was on broadcast on Tuesday. However, now it’s broadcast on Monday at the same time as 2 powerhouse shows on other networks.
I love this show! I didn’t watch it when it first came out so I caught up on Netflix and now I’m hooked! They better not cancel it!
I hope it doesn’t get canceled! I’ve really come to love this show!
This show is great. Do not cancel.
