According to reports, TLC has pulled the plug on their very successful reality series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. The cancellation comes following reports that Honey Boo Boo’s mother, Mama June, has been seeing a former boyfriend who’s been convicted of child molestation.
TLC tells TMZ, “Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority… TLC is faithfully committed to the children’s ongoing comfort and well-being.”
June posted on her Facebook page, “I want to make a post trying to clear up the rumors remember you can’t believe everything you read! Ppl sell stories to the tabloid everyday that r false! It isn’t true i promise my kids r #1 priority over anything else and I would never put them in danger period over this or anything else they r my life this is my past I left him 10 yrs ago for it and I wouldn’t go back.”
What do you think? Do you enjoy this series? Are you sorry to see it cancelled? Do you think Honey Boo Boo will be back?
Whatevs you “haters”! The show was real, and this family (and Alana, aka “Honey Boo Boo”) have, had, and has more gumption than so many of you. The overall love and support this family showed eachother, as well as many others in their community was rather entertaining , as it was funny. They didn’t pretend to be something they are not. So many things were done together, as a “family”, and done with fun, as they genuinely enjoyed doing things together. I would much rather watch this show than any of the so called “Housewives of ……………”, or help the… Read more »
I wanted to add to my earlier comment, as to what’s been posted as to the recent cancelation. Unfortunately, the curse of the “reality shows” has been bestowed upon this family, as if the stress of what everyday brings is not enough. They were brought into contracts with promises by the producers, along with writing crews, and camera crews following them in various public and personal scenes alike. Without the guidance of being thrown into the financial, and possibly the fame aspects of the business. I believe that this family truly loved, (love) eachother. And that they did their best… Read more »
What shocked me is that they would put trash like that on TV at all. What a bad example it sets for the children who watch the show. Persons like that should not be rewarded for being illiterate and having bad manners. I am a West Virginia Hillbilly but would never lower myself to act like the Honey BooBoo family.
I’m shocked they would cancel it. The accusation would seem to put it solidly in the TLC wheelhouse. Hard to believe that channel used to be “The Learning Channel” and actually at one time had programming anyone with an IQ above plant life could bear to watch.
An abuse accusation is also what helped cancel “Sons Of Guns”.
I just hope the little chubby girl does not get molested. She is going to have enough problems to live with. Best hope would be for state of Georgia to take these children and place them in a safe environment (foster home)
THANK GOD!!!!!!!!! The show was so annoying….didn’t enjoy one bit of it. It should have never aired at all!!!
how old are you thank before you comment just because you don’t like it you should have open mind and give a over all view
This garbage shoulda never aired. Another fake, staged “reality” show, made with all the erudition of a doorknob. Good riddance!
Well, it’s about time. Talk about hillbillies on tv… yikes! I actually do watch Survivor & I love The Amazing Race and I have since they began. But this show? Glad to see it go!
I guess it should now be referred to as there goes honey bye bye.
Guess the gravy train has stopped for them now. Now if only ALL the reality shows could take a flying leap off a cliff, there would be more room for some quality programs with ACTUAL actors!
The world is a better place now.
I maybe watched the progran for five minutes because this family reminded me of people taht I had met is Virginia when I was a kid, and I had been apalled, not amused. But what concerns me is what happens if this mother continues her relationship with her felon boyfriend, and there ar no cameras around to keep him honest, and his hands odd of the children?
This show should have been cancelled a long time ago. THANK YOU!!!!!!
Never heard of the program but if there is a remote chance someone convicted of child molestation has been brought into kids lives they should do more than just cancel the show! By that I mean check up on him – I am all for forgiveness, we don’t know the details ( eg a 17 year old can be convicted of child molestation by having sex or the like with his fully consentual 15 year old girlfriend or it could be something at the other end of the spectrum) he may have been convicted years ago, paid his dues, had… Read more »
That is unfortunate for the child in this show, but quite frankly I am glad the show is being cancelled. No doubt it hasn’t been all that good for her anyway even though it has given them money they may not have had in the first place.
And quite frankly these fake ‘reality’ shows have gotten quite old. Can you get away from reality shows – and start being more creative? (that includes so-called competitive shows)
