Get ready for a second season of Home Town. The series will return with brand new episodes in January.
HGTV revealed more about the return of the series in a press release. Check that out below.
“Home renovation stars Ben and Erin Napier return to HGTV for a sophomore season of their hit series Home Town on Monday, Jan. 8, at 9 p.m. ET/PT—and this time there will be one special new addition in Laurel, Mississippi. The first-time parents-to-be, who inspired more than 15 million viewers to love small-town living during season one, will transform more outdated properties into gorgeous family homes in the 10-episode season.
“Ben and I don’t think of our work as simply home renovation,” said Erin. “We find the common thread in the things that the homeowners love – the story of their life and family – and how that relates to the house. It’s satisfying when that comes together.”
“I’m excited to see our baby grow up in Laurel where everybody takes care of each other,” said Ben. “It’s a special place.”
During each episode, Ben and Erin will show clients two outdated, but budget-friendly properties that meet the families’ needs. Erin, an artist, will share her watercolor rendering of both old houses to help families see how she and Ben will update it into their dream home. As construction gets underway, Ben, a wood worker and craftsman, will use reclaimed materials from the property to build one-of-a-kind pieces for the homeowners, including a bench made from front porch flooring and a 12-foot dining room table crafted from repurposed sunroom beams.
HGTV’s digital platforms will showcase the Napiers and their home town of Laurel with special online video tours of the town and the couple’s local store, Laurel Mercantile. During the series run, Ben and Erin also will star in social media videos that range from fun homemade craft ideas to relationship Q&As. Throughout the season, fans can visit HGTV.com/Home-Town for more exclusive online content, including behind-the-scenes videos and photo galleries, and can interact on social media using #HGTVHomeTown.
The season two premiere episode of Home Town will be available for free via HGTV’s EST partners, HGTV.com, HGTV’s TV Everywhere mobile and connected device apps, and video on demand platforms.”

Best show on HGTV!!! Erin and Ben are so talented and I love their homes!! Could live in any of them! Erin nails the decorating! I was hurt to read some of the ugly comments below. I think this couple are talented, kind and fun! Maybe some folks can’t handle gracious Southern manners!
Best show on HGTV!!!!! I am ready to settle in for years of viewing Erin and Ben’s transformations of beautiful, livable homes. Please renew each year!! And I hope their baby will be featured each week too! We have loved watching the Gaines children grow up on Fixer Upper and hope to watch Helen as well!
Love, love, love this show. Love Ben and Erin
Love their work. Please give us more!
I love Hometown! I love Ben and Erin. The show is awesome!
Absolutely love this program. Ben and Erin do a wonderful job with their renovations. We record the program so we dont miss it. Love how they think outside of the box! Generally good people. Thats what we need more of in this world. Kudos to this couple. Congrats on the new baby. She will change your life for the good. But please dont give up this show.
Love Home Town. Since Fixer Upper was my favorite and they are gone, Home Town is my favorite. Not phony, down to earth people that are a joy to watch. Don’t always agree with Erin’s design ideas but I am sure not everyone agrees with any of the designs from Jo to the Scotts. Please keep them on. Look forward to every episode. Thank you
I think Ben and Erin are a very down to earth couple who have a very sweet design style ! I think they are very kind and genuine people who love each other and where they live ! I think they will take over for chip and Jo nicely !!! To the negative comments I say stop watching if it’s not for you !!! Stop saying nasty things about people you no nothing about because you are just sounding jealous ! I think people who put out negativity must have horrible self esteem issues they try and make people feel… Read more »
Home Town is my favorite show on HGTV. I can’t wait to see each episode. I love that Ben & Erin have the vision, skills and amazing creativity and style to bring homes that are “vintage gems” back to life again. The home- buyers on this show are so truly appreciative for the amazing work Ben & Erin have presented to them in their newly remodeled homes. By the end of each episode, I always wish I could live in Laurel, MS as their neighbors! This show is HGTV’s best show for creating a strong sense of community identity and… Read more »
There is only one reason I can see for anybody not to just love Erin; maybe because they aren’t lucky enough to have a Ben in their lives. The off button works just as well as the on. Hater’s need to find something positive to do with their lives, or a new channel. Just saying!!!!
I LOVE this show. Please do not cancel it. It’s replaced Fixer Upper as my favorite. They are sweet capable people with a positive message!!! Great job!
I love this show. Ben and Erin are fun, real people with talent and warmth. I hope this show goes on and on!
This is a great show with a wonderful couple hosting The fact they value and try to reuse and protect the history of their projects is inspiring. I would love to see this be a staple on HGTV for years to come.
I love the show, I hope you don’t cancel it. The town looks so cute and we like seeing the old houses fixed up. I use to love Fixer Upper but Chip needs therapy!

Definitely not my favorite show. Sadly when it comes on, I turn the channel.
