All good things must come to an end. Nickelodeon has announced that iCarly is ending after five seasons but there’s a big finish in the works.
Starring Drake & Josh’s Miranda Cosgrove, iCarly follows teenager Carly Shay as she creates a successful web series with the help of her best friends, Sam (Jennette McCurdy) and Freddie (Nathan Kress). Noah Munck is another good friend, Gibby, and Jerry Trainor plays Spencer, Carly’s older brother and legal guardian.
We suspected that the show might be getting ready to end when iCarly was renewed for a fifth season in April 2011. Though iCarly is one of the most popular shows on cable, the series was renewed for just 13 episodes. Like all shows about teens growing up, the actors eventually start to outgrow their roles and it’s time to move on.

Cosgrove plans to attend USC in the fall. McCurdy will star in another Dan Schneider series and Munck has a new pilot, both with Nickelodeon. The cable channel has also ordered a new series called Wendell & Vinnie in which Trainor will play a goofball uncle to a conservative 12-year-old.
To end the iCarly series, the cast and crew will film a special sometime next month and Nickelodeon plans to will air in November.
Of the show ending, Schneider told TV Guide, “Everyone at iCarly has been like family to me for five years… When we film our very last scene, there will be a lot of crying, I know. But I also know that in television, you don’t want to over-stay your welcome. I want to go out the way we are — on a creative high-note.”
Though there won’t be any new episodes after November’s finale, iCarly will continue to air on Nickelodeon in reruns.

nick sucks for cancelling it
I watched this show since I was in 3rd grade,I remember watching the first episode.
So am gonna miss this show,cause I grew up with it watching every new episode.Am in 8th grade now am kinda old for this show,so I guess ever Tv show comes to an end even though it’s sad.I don’t plan on watching nick now,cause Icarly was the only show I watched there,but I am gonna miss it.:(

I, my husband and kids are sad. We originally hated the show but our kids watched it so much it grew on us. Loved the show but I guess they can’t stay in high school forever.

Im sad beacause this show grew on me and millons of others but yes all good things must come to and end well atleast Nick will still have reruns thats cool to see cause you get a blast from the past of the show but in life all good things must come to and end and i carly is one of them i’ll miss you I Carly Nickolden will always have you in its heart and even if there are new shows nothing and i mean nothing can beat I Carly nothing!

i’ve been a back ground person for every episode in season 5 and i have to say im sad there’s no season 6,theres no season 6 becaus ecarly(miranda cosgrove) is going to college but if she didn’t there would be a season 6 i saw the ratings and they had the raitings for a sixth season but she wanted college but she says shes not completly done with acting and singing,so… i guess after college she might get be=ack to acting or singing 🙂

I’m kind of glad its going to be gone. Mainly because I’ve always enjoyed the older 90’s and early 2000’s cartoons and live action shows much more than the stale humor of today’s cartoons and live action shows. I really hope they will bring back the shows of the 90’s and early 2000’s.
I LOVE ICARLY!!!! Me and my grandkids watch it and my husband who is 90 loves it too, he thinks Carly is hot stuff compared to me. Sometimes when I am lonely and want to cry I watch iCarly because it raises the roof. YA BOY!!! SAM AND FREDDIE ALL THE WAY!!!!
You will probably think we are nuts but my 73 yr old husband and myself love iCarly and look foward to the new shows! They are such cute kids! We started watchin Miranda Cosgrove on Drake and Josh ( Loved It Too!) It is so nice to laugh during supper after a hard day. We will so miss new ones. We love H2O and Alien surfer girls too!
I’m 22 years old and i’m a big kid at heart. I been watching it since the first season. I em upset to see the show end . I don’t want it to end at all but, everyone is getting to the point now that they are outgrowing there characters. Although i thought that maybe they would do another season since the show is so popular with all ages. They say that its the most popular on nick besides the long running show Spongebob. whaaat??? don’t end the show! come on, ok I know that it’s getting a bit tiring, but the show if still good! you just need new perks, add or change thing that will bring people back WITHOUT changing the show or the characters. The teachers are funny, Lewbert is funny (in an insane way), Mrs. Benson is super annoying but funny, and TBone too. The show is so funny just spark it up.
