This sketch-comedy series is hosted by and stars rising comedian Affion Crockett. The fast-paced program follows in the footsteps of In Living Color and seeks to present a fresh take on pop culture with spoofs of movie trailers, commercials, TV shows, music videos and celebrities.
The series also features guest appearances by celebrities like rapper/actor Snoop Dogg, music and fashion mogul Russell Simmons, singer Chris Brown, sports analyst Michael Strahan, Glee’s Harry Shum Jr., choreographer Lil’ C, actor/comedian JB Smoove, actor David Koechner, and dance crew X-Mob.
A preview episode was initially announced for March 31st with a June 9th premiere. Those were both scrapped. The network initially ordered 12 episodes then cut that number to six. The show is produced by FOX, Foxx/King Entertainment and Tantamount Studios, with Jamie Foxx, Todd Yasui, Marcus King, Jamie Rucker King, Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum and Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz.
Episode six — No Rush
“Chris Rock” (Crockett) opens the show and finds some Common Ground with “Rush Limbuagh” (Jonathan Kite); “President Obama” (Crockett) addresses Congress; Guest-Star Russell Simmons finds his clone (Crockett) out of control at a photo shoot; “The Wake-Up Call” hotel clerks strike again; Angel Sanchez (“Crockett) proves his business genius and Affion and guest JB Smoove perform the world’s longest handshake.
