Spike TV announces the second season Ink Master: Redemption, which will premiere in Spring 2016, along with season seven of Ink Master.

Redemption, hosted by Dave Navarro, centers on participants from the flagship series who left unhappy with their tattoo but return to the shop for a new one. Since its debut on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 11 p.m., the spin-off has averaged a 1.3 rating in adults ages 18-49, making it the highest-rated program on TV in its time slot.
Steven Weinstock, Glenda Hersh, Andrea Richter and Navarro serve as executive producers on the series. Original Media (Comic Book Men), a subsidiary of Endemol Shine North America, produces Redemption.

New York, NY, October 14, 2015 – Spike’s sleeper-hit series, “Ink Master: Redemption,” which is averaging 1.8 million viewers and ranks #1 in its timeslot with Adults 18-49 in its debut season, has been picked up for a second season of 13 episodes. The announcement was made today by Sharon Levy, Executive Vice President, Original Series, Spike.
The new season launches next spring coinciding with Season 7 of “Ink Master.”
Since premiering on Spike on Tuesday, September 8 at 11:00pm ET/PT, “Ink Master: Redemption” is averaging a 1.3 rating with the key demographic of Adults 18-49, ranking it #1 in all of television in its Tuesday timeslot. The half-hour Spike original, which has expanded the “Ink Master” franchise, has also improved the timeslot (versus last year) by a staggering +162% with Adults 18-49, +150% with Men 18-49, +174% with Women 18-49, and +156% in total viewership.
The series is among the crop of original series such as “Bar Rescue,” “Lip Sync Battle,” and “Ink Master” that deliver on the network’s mission to attract a gender-balanced audience to the channel.
“Ink Master: Redemption” offers disgruntled former human canvases of “Ink Master” a chance to receive a new tattoo that leaves them happier than their last. The spin-off series is hosted by Dave Navarro.
“Ink Master: Redemption” is produced for Spike by Original Media (“Swamp People,” “Comic Book Men,” “Dual Survival”) with Steven Weinstock, Glenda Hersh, Andrea Richter, and Dave Navarro serving as Executive Producers. Original Media is a subsidiary of Endemol Shine North America.
