TVGuide is reporting that NBC has unceremoniously cancelled Las Vegas after five seasons on the air.
Las Vegas debuted on September 22, 2003 and was touted as actor James Caan’s first series regular role on television. The Academy Award-nominated actor was cast as the Montecito casino’s Head of Security, ‘Big Ed’ Deline. Others in the cast have included Nikki Cox, Josh Duhamel, James Lesure, Vanessa Marcil, Molly Sims, and Marsha Thomason.
Caan left the series last year to return to his movie career and Cox was cut from the show in a cost-cutting move. Caan was replaced by Tom Selleck and it was hoped that the addition of the veteran TV actor would help revitalize the series. It didn’t and, coupled with the series’ move to Friday nights, the ratings dropped significantly.
Last year, Las Vegas was one of the earliest NBC shows to get a renewal notice. What a difference a year can make.
NBC has opted not to renew Las Vegas for season six. Unlike Friday Night Lights, Vegas apparently doesn’t warrant shopping to other possible outlets and fans of the series are left with a cliffhanger. The last two episodes aired last Friday and was first in the ratings for both hours, Unbeknownst to viewers at the time, it was likely the last time we’ll see the staff of the Montecito. Stay tuned! 
i purchaced the first 4 seasons on dvd,but after reading comments about season 5 im not sure i want to get it.i hate cliff hangers on shows which will not be resolving issues.i guess it must be like everything else,swomeone must be paying more money to get their garbage aired.
In P.R las vegas is the best series I don’t now why NBC cancel the series but that series is the best in the world

Just finished watching all 5 seasons on DVD….so disappointed with the ending. They were not allowed to wrap things up.

I keep watching the DVDs of all the series and it suuuuccks that NBC cancelled it!!
Not only was it a hit in the USA, but everyone loved it here, in the UK (when it was broadcast alot later on, on “SKY ONE”).
Why in the world would they cancel that was a success and its them whom suck at marketing!!!
Pllllllleeeease bring it back.

I watched the last 3 episodes of vegas on tv n thought it looked good then my uncle got all the seasons on dvd and i then remebered i liked the 3 i watched so i got them all for christmas 2009 and watched them all in a week and loved. i searched for hours n hours trying to find out if they had a season 6 until i found this site. i just done some other researching and resources showed that if enough people emailed or sent letters that it would prove to be enough to have great ratings… Read more »

i can’t believe NBC left Las Vagas like that, how can you sit there and decide to just leave the fans hanging, yeah they ratings may not have been up on NBC but shoot i watched it almost everyday on TNT because it fit my work schedule i work nights and its not like i could watch re-runs on NBC, it can’t believe they just left the world/fans hanging like that so ridiculous bring back the show n let us know what happens with Danny and Delinda’s Baby, and everyone else!!!!! BRING IT BACK!!!
bring the show back. why must we suffer all the other crap on tv when there was a perfectly good show already entertaining people.
Since they took Las Vegas off NBC now stands for “Nothing But Crap” tv. Bring back the show for at least a true ending. Do we really need/want another Law & Order spin off ? NO – WE WANT LAS VEGAS BACK.
MY HUSBAND AND I HAVING BEEN RE-WATCHING, RE-RUNS OF LAS VEGAS FOR QUITE A WHILE. WE HAVE BEEN VERY DISAPPOINTED TO AGAIN REACH THE END WHERE AJ COOPER AND THE CAST, ESPECIALLY DELINDA AND DANNY’S BABY WAS IN DISTRESS. PLEASE BRING BACK THE WHOLE CAST IF POSSIBLE, BUT AT LEAST FINISH THE STORY IF THERE ARE TO BE NO MORE SHOWS.

I just watched the last episode of Las Vegas on TNT….and again so sad that the show ended the way that it did….This was such a great show and they left so many loose ends. When the To be Continued flashed (I knew it was there)…I just got upset all over again how NBC went about cancelling this show…..Surely they could have given us 2 or three more episodes to wrap this show up……
REALLLY!?! NBC couldnt just do one more episode for the fans!!!! instead they leave it to be continued!?! WTF I hate NBC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved that show and all the actors in it!! Please bring it back.
