MSNBC is sticking with Larry. The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell TV show has been renewed for another season on MSNBC. By our count, this will be season eight. Although the host’s contract was set to expire on June 4th, tonight, O’Donnell confirmed on Twitter that he has re-upped his contract with the NBC-owned cable news network.
A couple of weeks ago, the former Senate Finance Committee chief of staff, who executive produced and wrote The West Wing for NBC, confirmed that contract talks had stalled, and The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell could be ending its run on MSNBC.

His show is MSNBC’s best, and we’re disappointed to hear this. First we seem to have lost Maddow and now O’Donnell. Big Mistake!!!! O’Donnell is our favorite commentator, and my husband ‘nagged” me to find out what’s going on. What are they thinking????

What I love about Lawrence O’Brien is his courage to tell it how it is. His words are strong and fearless. I love his show. Keep up the good reporting!
I am very glad MSNBC saw the light and are keeping Lawrence O’Brien – although his contract should be longer than a year.. If I want the ‘real story’ behind the constant happenings the current administration is pulling off, I always can count on two people who do their research and get it right (before they open their mouths with mis-information), and that’s Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Brien. I’m a big fan of Lawrence, i do watch the prime time line starting with All in with Chris Hayes and the followed by Rachel Maddow but Lawrence has a unique way of reporting the news that the others just don’t have.

I think Larry O is so very boring. Doesn’t fit in (other than ideologically) at MSNBC, the hysterical comedy news channel. Guessed he’d remain there because his friend yuck yuck protected him (she fears a replacement could knock her out of her #1 perch as lowly as it is).
You got it right. They protected the little weasel. Amazing how many times I saw people write that if O’Donnell was let go, then RACHEL SHOULD QUIT, and if MSNBC let him go, They Would Never Watch MSNBC again. They didn’t write it here. They wrote it on other sites. I knew they wouldn’t let him go. CNN would grab him. As a Registered Democrat, I am astounded how vile the people in my own party have become. I voted for Trump. The Democrats gave me no choice.
