While the second season of Legend of the Seeker is still airing, a significant decision has already been made about the possibility of season three.
Legend of the Seeker is a fantasy series about a young woodsman (Craig Horner) who discovers he is actually destined to be a heroic Seeker. The series also stars Bridget Regan, Bruce Spence, Craig Parker, and Kevin J. Wilson.
The show is produced by ABC Studios and airs in syndication, primarily running on stations owned by the Tribune Company. The show debuted on November 1, 2008 and was renewed for second season after just 10 episodes had aired.
Season two kicked off on November 7, 2009 and now, after 13 episodes have aired, Tribune has decided they’ve had enough. According to KsiteTV and a representative of Tribune, the show’s ratings haven’t been good enough for them to renew Legend of the Seeker for season three.

While ABC has not made an announcement that the show has been cancelled, the Tribune Company represents a large percentage of stations that carry the series. ABC will have to do a lot of legwork to get it picked up by enough other stations.
The big questions are if the ratings are good enough for other stations to want to pick up the show and if the revenue will warrant ABC keeping the show going.
Co-Executive Producer Mike Sussman isn’t ready to give up just yet. Yesterday, he twittered a photo his show’s hero with his favorite Mark Twain quote, “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.”
The remaining episodes of season two kick off on March 20th.

I Loooooooooove legend of the seeker! if this show ends i will be misereable for ever; i have watched this episode every sunday that it airs on ABC. If they cancel LOTS i will go straight to their office and put up a HUGE argument so they can put it back on. I have been happy since iv been watching this show, please dont end my happiness. 🙁
Not since Zena or Hercules…Has their been as well written and intriguing adventure series..Yeah it may not follow the book, but neither did Herc..but if ABC is betting on misleading ratings and bad tim slots. in Hawaii it airs at 10:45pm on Saturday night…why not dig it’s grave… I think monkeys with darts could do a better job of programing network TV…Please keep it an put it on a good time…or sell it to NBC and ScyFy Channel.. don’t give up ABC…I don’t think your ratings are accurate since I have to watch it on DVR record because of time… Read more »
This is a great show but I can tell by the decline in quality of the second season over the first that a third would be just miserable. Let it go while it’s still good!
I just started watching this two weeks ago. Caught up to watch today’s episode (4/10/2010) so I am hoping it doesn’t get canceled. I’ve never watched a show that I’ve liked -every- episode. Okay so, technically I have. Chuck, but I just started watching Chuck a few months ago. Smallville doesn’t count. My decision is to renew LOTS for season 3. When shows like smallville can be allowed to go on for 10yrs which is so much irritating n boring show then why not LOTS which is far more better n entertaining show. I would like to see my favorite character beyond season 3. Moreover terry is saying season 3 will b more entertaining in comparison to prev shows. So i am requesting with tribune company just give the chance to terry & decided it after 10 episodes of season3……..
This show improved so much this season I think a third one would bring more viewers.
I came upon the legend of the seeker by accident flipping through the channels one night and watched it and it’s great I caught up on all the episodes and can’t wait for more,I think it is as good if not better than Hercules was with kevin sorbo and it would be a shame to cancel it,bring on season 3 and 4 and 5 and so on,it’s a great show.
LOTS is one of the best shows ever! It has everything – magic, romance, compassion, action scene, friendshio! There should definitely be a third season! My favourite show so far, and not just me. In theese times, when everything is just special effects, LOTS gives much more than that. And it’s quite obvious what is that.

Legend of the Seeker is a great show that deserves 3rd season. I suppose they should change the air time to improve it much more. But if they didn’t notice, the show already have a following and is growing more and more. I loved Seeker since season one. We need a show like this. The actors are great and the plot is somewhat dark yet there’s still romance and humor. Please, more Legend of the Seeker shows. Scrap all those medical dramas and reality crap.
Let’s get a third Season!!! This is my favorite show…I just got my best friend hooked on it. I am reading the books and I cannot get enough of this show. Please, Let the show go on.
I only learned two weeks ago that this show actually existed, by mere chance of changing to the right channel and I’m glad I did as I’m hooked! I’m from the UK and love shows like Legend of the Seeker as it includes all of the things I enjoy watching: fantasy, action, humour, friendship and romance, along with a great cast and crew who create stunning effects and brilliant storylines with every episode! I’ve caught up with both seasons in a short time and now eagerly await for more episodes to be released so please do not cancel this show!
Each LOTS episode is a mini feature film! The sets, the acting, the dialog, all create a perfect trio of elements that consistently produce a quality production every week. So, viva LOTS — please, no cancellation…!
Por supuesto, que no deseo que esta gran serie Anime sea Cancelada, Ya me cancelaron Dragonball Z y me puso de los nervios, si me cancelan The Seeker, no se que puede suceder conmigo, pero estarian en peligro.
Mi rabia sería tal que dejaría cimientos sobre la Tierra si me cancelan esta gran serie. Deseo 3ª temporada, por supuesto.

it has been hard to find and airs at a strange time. they have not done much to help it develop an audience. I think it’s great.
Keep it going! It’s my favorite show, and the only one that I care to see week in, week out, even if it is a re-run!
