TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
The glades and longmire were the best shows they should put them back on air.
Love Longmire. My grandson got us hooked on it immediately. The cast was made for this show. Tired of all the city cop shows. This is perfect and and we will watch every episode.
LLL. LONG LIVE LONGMIRE!
I love this series. The acting is believable. The stories are well done and seem real to life. The mystery is awsome. I am usually really good at predicting stories but not so much with this show. That makes it so refreshing. I know its probably futile to ask but PLEASE do cancel this series…
Love this show. I managed to get my husband and his parents hooked on it, too. The only complaint I have is the acting of Katee Sakhoff. Looks like all she really wants to do is show off her booty …….
Where is Long mire. Loved that show. Also, the Glades. Good shows disappear and the crap stays.
iTS COMING BACK O THIS SUMMER!
This show is the closest we have to western even though it is a modern day western. I enjoyed this show and would like to see it return.
This is the only TV show I think about all week ,until the next episode when it is running. I am leaving this comment because it has not come back this season. This series is the best I have seen in a long time & I want to know why it is not on now.
I love Longmire,
When doe the new season start ?
We need more shows like this…so tired of true crime, and explict series….
I really like the Longmire TV series and hope that it has not been cancelled. I recently joined Netflix and searched for it there to find only 10 episodes. Haven’t tried Hulu yet since I am just about to try their 7 day trial. I currently have 23 episodes on one of my DirecTv DVR’s which I am about to cut the cord with if this Amazon Fire TV, Netflix, Hulu, etc. thing works out This show seems to start its new seasons months away from most network television shows and after the first season we wondered whether it was… Read more »
love this show
notify me when Longmire starts again please
Love this show, it is one of my favorites along with The Glades which unfortunately was canceled, ending with a cliff hanger and we won’t know what happened STUPID NETWORK!!!!
Love the shows, look forward to next season!
With all of the garbage that’s on cable T.V. and regular T.V., I’d say we need more shows like this. Not fancy, not vulgar, but an adult show with adult themes. I really do hope they keep it going. This show is definitely more believable than most story lines. Love it.
My husband and I love Longmire and hope it will be on for a long time. The stories are written really great and it makes you like all the characters. This is a nice refreshing show. It takes you out of the city to the country. Great writers and actors.
