TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
Do not cancel Longmire, it is the best show on TV. I look forward to it every Monday.
This is a good show with characters you want to visit week after week. The writing is good and the actors bring believability to their roles. I look forward to it every week.
OMG. Episode 9 is awesome and I can’t wait till next week. I will also regret the end of the season. Please, please, please A&E renew this fabulous show.
Dana Perino on Fox News Channel’s The Five mentioned Longmire the other day; she apparently enjoys it, too. The more publicity and exposure the better.
What can we do to save it???
One of the best TV series out for a long, long time. Compared to some of the “JUNK” being continued it is a “Jewel” with good casting and very interesting plots. All of my family, and extended family love the show.
I love this sbow! Please, do not cancel.
I have been watching Longmire since the beginning and have loved every season but this one. I have grown tired to the whole who killed Longmire’s wife and is Branch insane
can we just get that solved and get on with what we enjoy the most. Solving crimes in the modern west with trucks, horses and guns
They will solve the ongoing mysteries re: Walt’s wife, etc., but in the meantime they still work other cases. I don’t see a problem with what they’re doing.
I love this show. I happened upon it, and was hooked. The characters are intriguing and the acting superb. Robert Taylor and Lou Diamond Phillips are outstanding. This is not for everyone, but I think it is an excellent TV program. Please keep this series!
Longmire is a quality show, the best on TV. Give us season 4 and beyond.
A&E renew Longmire now. And if not I hope AMC or TNT picks it up, you are not being fair to this wonderful show!!!.
please keep Longmire on. It is best show on TV.
PLEASE don’t cancel Longmire. A & E at one time had some of the best programs on tv. Then A & E went the way of some many other programs…reality shows…shows with little merit, little substance. Walt lives by morals and truth…we need more heroes like him on tv. Please give this show another season. Resist showing one more reality show…
Thanks.
DO NOT CANCEL LONGMIRE. Best show around. Sick of L.A. or NewYork type of police types. I like the rugged style of Walt and Vic is very good along as His partner. Henry completes the team.
Love this show. Not the usual cops and bad guys. The scenery just beautiful. Like that He doesn’t wear a uniform.Very rugged looking too .Hope it doesn’t get cancelled
