TLC has yanked Mama’s Boys From the Bronx from their schedule after two weeks on the air. The reality series revolves around a handful of thirty-something Italian-American guys who live at home with their moms in the northernmost boroughs of New York City.
According to TVMediaInsights and Nielsen, week-to-week Mama’s Boys dropped from 808,000 to 610,000 viewers at 10pm, and 817,000 to 563,000 viewers at 10:30pm. The cable channel has replaced Mama’s Boys with installments of Undercover Boss Abroad.
Castmembers have been encouraging fans of the show to petition TLC to bring the show back. One of the stars, Anthony Zoccolillo, wrote on Facebook, “You know whats funny TLC? We filmed all this great stuff about our culture, values, and traditions and you cut it all out and make them add all this nonsense then cancel us cause nobody liked what you told our production team to shoot.. what do you know about our Italian culture… let us be who we really are and then maybe we would have got better ratings.”
TLC commissioned eight episodes and four have yet to air. There’s no word on when or if they ever will.
What do you think? Did you like this reality series? Do you think that TLC should air the rest of the episodes?

I love the show, please don’t cancel!
Bring it Back! Nice and clean not like the Jersey shore idiots.
Mama’s Boys of the Bronx showed a side of New York City many people never get to see in person. Most tourist come to Manhattan to see “Little Italy”, which is fine and all, but the Bronx-Arthur Avenue is the pioneer of true home-made Italian culture in New York City (well, at least in my opinion). The show was funny, relatable and was something a family could look forward to at 10, being most younger children would already be tucked away in bed being it was on at a later hour for a school week. I don’t think two weeks… Read more »

What a wonderful, funny, clean, entertaining family show you guys have pulled off the air.
Shame on you!!!!!
BEING OF ITALIAN DECENT, I THINK TLC DID A GREAT INJUSTICE CANCELLING MAMA,S BOYS. I AM TRIED OF SEEING ITALIANS ONLY PORTRAYED AS GANGSTERS. YOU DIDN’T GIVE THE SHOWS MUCH OF A CHANCE.
Love the show!! Don’t cancel it.
Bring Mamas Boys from the Bronx back. Finally a show I loved Bring it back please Very unhappy about this
Don’t cancel. The moms and their boys are adorable and funny.
Loved the show! We can all joke a little about our own culture!
This is just a small example of some Italian’s life.
Being Italian..I’ve seen this go on to many levels.

I grew up in an almost all Italian neighborhood on Milwaukee’s east side back in the 60s-70s. We all looked out for each other. Yes, we had our bad times along with the good but if someone needed help in any way, our friends and family were always there. I thought this series was very entertaining and there are a lot of truths in it. I’m sure the editing played a big part of how we are portrayed as Italian-Americans. Please keep this series. I’m sick of all these “non-reality” reality shows such as Ice Road Truckers, Ax Men, Chef… Read more »
BRING IT BACK!!
TLC…… What you should do is put the show back on the air with a DISCLAIMER (if U are concerned about Anthony’s previous brush with the law). Your disclaimer could say, “The TLC Network & it’s Sponsors do not necessarily endorse or are responsible for the behavior, personal background, opinions or other content herein, and the show is strictly for ENTERTAINMENT purposes”. By doing this, you can legally take care of any such concerns. The show has a lot of realism and is quite entertaining. I lived on Arthur Avenue for 21 years back in the 1950’s & 60’s, and… Read more »
