Are you ready for some more dystopian alternate reality political drama? The second season of The Man in the High Castle TV show premieres worldwide on Amazon Prime Video, Friday, February 10, 2017. Fans don’t have to worry about it being cancelled too soon. The series has already been renewed for season three. Loosely based on the Philip K. Dick novel of the same name, the 1960s-set series imagines the Axis powers won World War II. In season two, which premiered in the US in December, Stephen Root joins as the mysterious title character. Prime members can catch a sneak peek on February 3rd.
The Man in the High Castle stars Alexa Davalos as Juliana Crain, a young woman from Japanese controlled San Francisco. Rupert Evans also stars as her boyfriend, Frank Frink. A factory worker, Frink reproduces pre-war American pistols as collector pieces. The cast also includes Luke Kleintank, DJ Qualls, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Rufus Sewell, Joel de la Fuente, Brennan Brown, Callum Keith Rennie, and Bella Heathcote. Original dramatic series stars Alexa Davalos, Rupert Evans, Luke Kleintank, DJ Qualls, Joel De La Fuente, Brennan Brown, Bella Heathcote and Callum Keith Rennie
SEATTLE, Jan. 31, 2017 /CNW/ – (NASDAQ: AMZN) — Amazon today announced that all ten episodes of season two of the Emmy winning Amazon Original Series The Man in the High Castle are set to premiere worldwide on Amazon Prime Video in more than 200 countries and territories on February 10, 2017. Prime Video members can enjoy a sneak peek of season two with episode one available to watch on February 3, 2017.
Based on Philip K. Dick’s Hugo Award-winning 1962 alternate history novel, season two of the one-hour drama series The Man in the High Castle continues to explore what would have happened if the Allied Powers had lost World War II. While Germany controls much of the East Coast and Japan controls the West Coast, the Rocky Mountains have become a “neutral zone” — and ground zero for a resistance, led by a mysterious figure known only as “the Man in the High Castle.”
In the new season, which introduces Stephen Root (Justified, Boardwalk Empire) as the title character, peace between Germany and Japan hangs in the balance and the urgency to find the man in the high castle becomes even more desperate. Meanwhile, the revelations about the films set our characters on a collision course, the outcome of which could have devastating repercussions. The Man in the High Castle stars Alexa Davalos, Rupert Evans, Luke Kleintank, DJ Qualls, Joel De La Fuente, Brennan Brown, Bella Heathcote, and Callum Keith Rennie with Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and Rufus Sewell. The series was developed by Frank Spotnitz with Daniel Percival, Erik Oleson, Isa Dick Hackett, Richard Heus, Ridley Scott, and David W. Zucker serving as executive producers.
What do you think? Have you watched the first season of The Man in the High Castle TV show? If you’re in the US, do have you been watching season two? If not, do you plan to check out season two on Amazon? Let us know, below.
I love the show…. the twist and turn of the plot is mind boggling.
It debuted a month and a half ago in the US (and was pirated everywhere else at the same time). It’s only debuting _globally_ next month.
This is a tad confusing. If season two premiers in February 2017, then what did I stream in December 2016 on Amazon Prime if that wasn’t season two?
