CBS hasn’t announced that Medium has been cancelled but, while attending an event last weekend, Patricia Arquette said that the show will indeed be ending this season.
Like her character, series star Arquette can indeed see the future. Now, Medium creator Glenn Gordon Caron has confirmed that the drama is finished. Of the last episode, Caron wrote, “Allison Dubois will dream her last dream on Medium Friday, January 21st. In what we believe will be a series defining episode, Allison and her family will stare destiny in the eye. And destiny will not blink.”
The ratings for Medium have taken a real hit this season. Despite frequently winning its timeslot, the drama has averaged a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.41 million viewers. CBS reduced the number of episodes to just 13 as a result.

cancel perfect shows like ghost whisperer and medium to make way for trash that only lasts a month? ******* hell. What are we paving way for now? Another “CSI” type of rip off, some stupid twilight type show, “Fauxality” reality TV… more cheesy cop shows (which I don’t mind but when the acting sucks and it’s a blatant copy of another, hell NAW!) At this rate, I might as well give away my television because all the stuff I love to watch is being thrown in the trash.

I am disgusted they are cancelling Medium after Ghost Whisperer being cancelled. I never follewed The Nanny when it was on regular tv but have seen all episodes on reruns. Discovered in her book she was sworn to secrecy that it wasn’t her that wanted it cancelled. What’s up with that. Makes you wonder about the powers that be. PLEASE DO NOT cancel this show! As previously stated by so many people, it doesn’t deserve to be cancelled! The cast is outstanding, the stories very entertaining (which is why most of us watch a particular show)!!!!! Show some heart and especially common sense!!!!!!

Don’t cancel this. Cancel a reality show or some other stupid show. This is based on a real life person who is amazing.
If you want to cancel something cancel the lamest show still airing ….Two and a Half Men. This show is boring and too full of “shock” writing. It is getting more boring with every episode!
Medium derserves better that this and so does the cast!
looked forward to this show weekly. If we were out I watched it on – ON DEMAND. I do not watch much TV but this show was one that was high on my list.

I am devistated that medium is canclled. That has alway been my favorite show. The time you aired it was the reason it had low ratings. 7 p.m. on a Friday night was the worst time to have it on. Even us that loved it had to rush home to see it. Having it on at 9 p.m. would have gotten more ratings. The shows you are showing are getting more stupid all the time. I sure hope some cable channel will pick it up.
I’m so sorry to see Medium come to an end…. I have enjoyed and looked forward to it each season… Perhaps another network would be interested in picking it up with all the same cast and characters.
Yup first they cancel Ghost Whisper..and now Meduim..dont tell me another stupid reality ******** series..more dating bachelors or dancing and singing..give me a break I cant take one more reality show. Television sucks lately pretty soon we will all be watching DVD’s because there isnt any thing worth watching any more.
say it isn’t true! My favorite tv program I look forward to each week. It seems as though the reality shows are taking over programing. One would think folks are sick of their own reality so why in the world waste your time watching someone else’s trumped up troubles.
Saw the woman who this show was based on on a reality TV show and ….WOW….not cool….this show should be off the air….she is NOT deserved of anything good!
Very disapointed Medium is being cancelled. Another one of my favorite shows is going away. Soon I will be watching more movies and less regular tv shows.
I cannot believe they are cancelling this show. Why can any of this regular tv station keep good shows on? First, Ghost Whisperer and now Medium, which I think these shows have a better rating than any shows any of these channels have on now. Come on! If I were any of the station, maybe Oxygen or SYFY chanel should pick up on these shows, how about working with Travel Channel, that’s food for thought..
