PBS has released new character introductions for the doctors and nurses in their upcoming Civil War mini-series, Mercy Street.

The drama premieres on January 17th.

In the series, Josh Radnor stars as Dr. Jebediah Foster, a “brilliant surgeon” who works alongside Nurse Mary Phinney (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) at Mansion House Hospital, which is located in Union-occupied Virginia during the American Civil War. Norbert Leo Butz, Tara Summers, and Peter Gerety also star.
